As the year comes to an end I have to admit that I never foresaw my first attempt at blogging going the direction it has.

Maybe because I started blogging in an election year, my posts became more and more about politics. Or perhaps because of the nature of the election; the sharpe contrast between the left and the right. In any event it has been an interesting year of blogging, somtimes disapointing sometimes rewarding, but always interestening and never boring….at least for me.

My last updated top tweenty follows. It is interesting for me that my top twenty posts mostly reflect the political climate of the day. Thirteen of the top twenty have “Obama” in the title. All of the top twenty relate to the presidential election campaign. None of my more Christian or spiritual posts made the top twenty although “Obama and 7 things God Hates” was a Christian perspective on the Obama candidacy and had the second most visits. My post complementing George Bush’s presidency were not among my most visited posts. Posts with Sarah Palin in the title also received a high number of hits.

The Highest rated post was Obama, Ayers, Dohren of one Accord which had 3,701 visits. To this day it still garners a hit or two a day; must be the title.

My readership has lowered since the election as well. I don’t suspect that any of the top twenty will be dethroned anytime soon as the next presidential election is a ways off. The Obama Presidency is sure to have some stormy and controversial days which my create interest in riggword posts for the coming year.

I am thinking of posting my top ten favorite comments, that could be entertaining. One of my favorites came from Selena who gave me the tittle of “Long Winded Blogger”. That post would definitely make the top ten.

for the first time This Year a post headed with the word Obama is not number one!

Althought Obama or Michelle Obama still have 7 spots in the top 20,

Sarah Palin or Palin now hold down 6 of the top 20 spots at riggword.

Could this be a sign of the changing political spectrum in America?

The rising star is “Obama’s Speech Writer Revealed. A comic post with Professor Irwin Corey posing as Obama’s stuttering rambling speech writer. I guess people really do want to laugh at Obama. More comedy post moved up this month. “Obama So Funny”, “Obama Mo Funny”, and “Obama, Can’t Touch This” along with “Speech Writer” were all in the top 10. Interesting change, some of these post are a few months old. It probably reflects some new readers that have come on board from Hillary supporter sites.

2. Eleven of the twenty start with Obama or a dirrrivative of Obama.

3. Thirteen of the top twenty have Obama in the title somwhere.

4. Only three are directly related to spiritual ideas.

5. Michelle Obama and Rev Wright round our the top twenty.

6. Not shown is the fact that the top fifty posts are equally apportioned to Obama; although Hillary and Condoleezza Rice get honorable mention.
