Light Rail, Big Governments Attempt to reeducate the common man towards collectivism.

Posted 5-26-2008

Driving cars is what Americans do.
Driving cars is a symbol and a reality of our freedom.
Driving cars is a reflection of American ingenuity and indiviudalism.

HOV lanes don’t work!
HOV lanes cause me to get Zero miles to the gallon when I am stuck in traffic.
HOV lanes are governments attempt to control the common people.

“Light” rail costs billions.
“Light” rail takes $ away from building more lanes and getting better MPG.
“Light” rail is big governments way to control the common people.

“LIght” rail is collectivist training,
“Packed like lemmings into Mass Transit Reeducation Boxes”
Cars are independence reinforcement.

Without Politicians

Americans Are Getting Stupid

The Transportation Security Administration is as hated as the Internal Revenue Service. This is funny. Americans like to complain about their rights being violated at airports, yet are perfectly fine with surrendering their rights to battle a fictional problem (man-made global warming). Americans are getting stupid. When a fraud like Al Gore can receive a Nobel Peace Prize for distributing propaganda, how can one be surprised that American IQs are shrinking? (more)

Economy:

We all know that whenever the news cycle gets slack or a politician needs attention somebody is going to complain about the economy. The worst economy every…. no wait, I mean the worst economy in fifty years….I mean twenty,… ah how bout’ this century…..well let’s just say it’s really really bad! So what do we mean when we say “It must be the economy that’s what’s wrong.” Or, “Didn’t you know that the economy is doing real bad?” Or “I don’t think we should you know with the economy the way it is and all.” It is like this word economy is its own entity. Kind of like Godzilla. “Oh no they say he’s got to go, go go Godzilla. Oh no there goes Tokyo go go Godzilla” (Blue Oyser Cult 197?) We humans are so quick to run from…from what? Oh no there goes my home, go go economy. I mean can you just feel the hot breath down your back; Dwat dat mean ol’ wascally waconomy anyway.

First let’s just look at the word before we give it human charactoristics, or animal for that matter. The first part is “eco”. Let’s see what Webster says:

Main Entry: eco- Function: combining form Etymology: Late Latin oeco- household, from Greek oik-, oiko-, from oikos house — more at vicinity
Eco as in ecology is house, home, or even surroundings. I am not a linguistics expert but I do like to look at the meaning of words.
Let’s add the rest of the word economy and see what Webster has to say about the word economy:
Habitat or environment <ecospecies> 2 : ecological or environmental <ecocatastrophe>
Main Entry:
1econ·o·my Listen to the pronunciation of 1economy
Pronunciation:
\i-ˈkä-nə-mē, ə-, ē-\
Function:
noun
Inflected Form(s):
plural econ·o·mies
Etymology:
Middle French yconomie, from Medieval Latin oeconomia, from Greek oikonomia, from oikonomos household manager, from oikos house + nemein to manage

1archaic : the management of household or private affairs and especially expenses.

The management of household expenses. Now I am not naive about the broader sense here. I can concede that when most people talk or think about the economy they mean the U.S. economy. I do think however if people would spend more time shoring up their own economy by staying out of dept and living within their means they may not be so afraid of the big bad economy.

One more thing about the economy boggy man. Do we really take the time to see what is happening on a goble scale. We are so quick to blame whichever politician we do not like at the time. What if the whole world’s economic fortune could change on a single person named Jerome. Just a thought.

So be safe, take your time, don’t worry be happy, we have nothing to fear but fear itself, keep a stiff upper lip, get down get funky, don’t let the bed bugs bite, you can do it if you try, keep your feet on the ground while you reach for the stars,

Pray more, complain less, trust God, don’t trust in earthly things, give the economy to Caesar, give your heart to God!

God Bless,

HOV Lanes:

I drive (if you can call it driving, it is actually closer to parking) slowly. As I crawl along in one of only two lanes open to singular people, people who enjoy driving alone. I look next to me and see an empty lane. A lane with diamonds in it, and that is just about all I see. Yes, the High Occupancy Vehicle Lane is not high occupancy and is void of vehicles. Do we actually save gas by driving at 15 miles an hour. At this rate my car’s engine will be running four times longer than if I was driving at 60 miles per hour…hmmmm, just a thought. But don’t we feel good, knowing that we have one lane dedicated to making us feel comfortable with our use of the internal combustion engine. We easily bow down to the god of image, the god of feel good, the god of I’m ok and you are a gas guzzling SOB.

Public Transportation:

I drive slowly, as I look to my right and my left cars on one side empty lane of the left side. I look above an see the $ 4.2 billion “light” rail system. A government expenditure of our money to give us an option (one that many will take as the move increases the discomfort of driving on the highways) instead of driving. We will be forced to either drive on the crowded freeways (crowded because no new lanes have been built) or ride in the governments version of the Pied Piper. We the people will dutifully follow along because it seems like a good idea. The move to move us along is a move to change our behavior. The freedom we have always enjoyed and cherished is being let go of in order for us to feel good about ourselves. We once again lay down our freedoms to the sacred cow of mass transit. I wonder how much it cost to build a new refinery in our country for the first time in 29 years (about2.5 million actually). New refineries have new technology that will reduce costs and pollution.
