WE CAN’T KEEP DRIVING OUR SUVs AND EATN’ OUT AND SHOOTING OFF FIREWORKS:

We can’t keep using up 99% of the worlds fireworks with only 5% of the world’s crackers in our country. We must be cognizant of the fact that the rest of the world does not have access to these fireworks because of Americans’ greed. We must step into the twenty-first century and come along side our less fortunate societies that don’t have a 4th of July on their calendar.

THIS TRADITION FORCED ON US BY WHITE EUROPEAN SUPREMACISTS HAS TO GO!

We cannot continue a tradition that is not shared by the rest of our world wide brothers. We cannot continue a celebration that encourages increasing our carbon footprint! We cannot carry on a tradition that is based on the maiming and killing just to start a new country. We cannot support a tradition that included torturing our worthy opponents. We cannot continue to support a tradition that is not celebrated by 95% of the world’s population. We cannot support a tradition that was the beginning of the end for our polar bears in Alaska.

THAT IS WHY I AM PROPOSING A NEW CELEBRATION FOR THE LOSERS OF THE WORLD:

This new holiday will not be held on the 4th of July but on the 13th of July. The day that represents bad luck! The day that will go down in history as a day of rejoicing for losing a war, a country, a nation. A day for all of the losers to come out and shout, “Good Ridens, We didn’t want you in our lives any way!” Yes losers everywhere, in every nation, of every race will be able to jump for joy and shout, “We don’t care about you , we lost and you didn’t!“

AND NO MORE SPARKERLERS, FIRECRACKERS, OR FIREWORKS:

Did you see Bush yesterday lighting those sparkerlers with those kids at the White House; we’ll talk about that supremacist name later. He was all smiling and giddy like. He doesn’t care that that sparkerler puts out carbon dioxide emissions. He doesn’t care that that sparkerler may injure the child’s retina. Those guys just don’t care just like the men who started this whole waste of time phenomenon that is the blight of the world. We will never us fire to represent our country again; it is suppressive and sends the wrong message to our friends and our enemies. Well just last week I was talking with Osama, Ahmadinejad and Hugo, and they all said that “That firecracker thing has to go”. They said that our celebration only leads to infuriating their anti-American sentiment and makes them angry enough to show us their fire.

WE WILL CELEBRATE BY WAVE WHITE FLAGS:

Yes waving white flags in the middle of the day will save energy, think of the polar bears; appease our enemies, no more fires or explosions; help us see our friendly neighbors face to face, instead of hiding in the night; and give the world a symbol for losers everywhere to unite and come together.

MICHELLE SAYS THAT SHE HAS NEVER BEEN PROUD OF THE 4TH OF JULY:

Yes folks if we can just move away from are addiction to carbon fueled celebrations then we can bring that sense of pride back to Michelle and the millions of disenfranchised losers out there who stay home and hunker down in the corner of their rooms during all of that god awful noise and fire. The losers will come out of their embarrassed shells and share their lives and stories with us as we wave our flags of white.

Let July 13th go down in history as

the day that American got her grove back!

The day that we quit acting like winners and embraced the loser within.

Grim proving ground for Obama’s housing policy

The candidate endorsed subsidies for private entrepreneurs to build low-income units. But, while he garnered support from developers, many projects in his former district have fallen into disrepair.

CHICAGO - The squat brick buildings of Grove Parc Plaza, in a dense neighborhood that Barack Obama represented for eight years as a state senator, hold 504 apartments subsidized by the federal government for people who can’t afford to live anywhere else.

But it’s not safe to live here.

About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale - a score so bad the buildings now face demolition.

Among those tied to Obama politically, personally, or professionally are:

Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to Obama’s presidential campaign and a member of his finance committee. Jarrett is the chief executive of Habitat Co., which managed Grove Parc Plaza from 2001 until this winter and co-managed an even larger subsidized complex in Chicago that was seized by the federal government in 2006, after city inspectors found widespread problems.

Allison Davis, a major fund-raiser for Obama’s US Senate campaign and a former lead partner at Obama’s former law firm. Davis, a developer, was involved in the creation of Grove Parc and has used government subsidies to rehabilitate more than 1,500 units in Chicago, including a North Side building cited by city inspectors last year after chronic plumbing failures resulted in raw sewage spilling into several apartments.

Antoin “Tony” Rezko, perhaps the most important fund-raiser for Obama’s early political campaigns and a friend who helped the Obamas buy a home in 2005. Rezko’s company used subsidies to rehabilitate more than 1,000 apartments, mostly in and around Obama’s district, then refused to manage the units, leaving the buildings to decay to the point where many no longer were habitable.

Campaign finance records show that six prominent developers - including Jarrett, Davis, and Rezko - collectively contributed more than $175,000 to Obama’s campaigns over the last decade and raised hundreds of thousands more from other donors. Rezko alone raised at least $200,000, by Obama’s own accounting.

One of those contributors, Cecil Butler, controlled Lawndale Restoration, the largest subsidized complex in Chicago, which was seized by the government in 2006 after city inspectors found more than 1,800 code violations. (Chicago Globe)

Pay Differentials in the Obama Office

Posted by: Donald Kochan at 6:38 PM Don’t get me wrong, I am completely for salaries based on merit alone and think sex differentials should have zero, no difference. But these reports about the pay in Mr. “Equal Pay” Obama’s offices seem interesting, especially as compared to McCain — although as with most such studies I do not presume a causal relationship to evidence of discrimination. But since Obama, see here for example, does make such presumptions when there is a disparity in pay . . . .

I think these reports provide a ridiculous critique, but equally ridiculous are most of the claims, like Obama’s, for coercive equal pay requirements rather than allowing the market to set salaries based on merit.

Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire has said she will not call the state Legislature into special session on an arena financing plan, and state House Speaker Frank Chopp, D-Seattle, is resolutely opposed to taxpayer funding for an arena.

“They already have a place to play. It’s nice. There are no potholes in the court there. Every player has health care. They all had the opportunity to go to college. Let’s get real here,” Chopp told the Seattle Times editorial board. “If they want to [build a new arena], we’re not stopping them. They can pay for it themselves.”

Feds say they’ll keep closing gap in funding for light rail.

Federal officials announced on Monday that they will do all they can to make up for a shortfall in money previously pledged for the city’s light rail starter line that is now under construction.

Federal Transit Administrator James S. Simpson awarded the city $18.9 million toward the $128 million the government promised for the project.

The FTA had budgeted a $57 million contribution to the project for fiscal year 2008, but Congress appropriated only $23 million. With Monday’s announcement, this year’s federal share is about $15 million less than anticipated.

This is Seattle’s light rail system running from downtown to the airport. This line was originally designed to serve riders from the University District through to the airport, but the line was shortened after costs increased. Soon after voters approved Sound Transit, discussions began on extending the line to Northgate, which has a large regional bus transit center. Even future extensions to the Eastside or to Tacoma were proposed.

Then the problems began. Due to the unique topography of the Seattle area, as well as its urbanization, a significant portion of the line needed to be in a tunnel under Capitol Hill and the University District.. It turned out the tunneling would cost more than predicted due to difficult soils. Then, another large portion of the line was designed to run at street level through South Seattle. The community was upset by this, and demanded concessions. These issues led to years of delays…at a time when property values were just about doubling every year. Note that Sound Transit didn’t own any of the right of way for the project.

OLYMPIA– With or without Seattle’s approval, the state will tear down the earthquake-damaged Alaskan Way Viaduct in 2012, Gov. Chris Gregoire said Thursday.

“It’s coming down in 2012. I’m taking it down — the middle,” she said, referring to the elevated portion of the span that runs roughly from Battery Street Tunnel to Pioneer Square, which has been the most vexing and controversial piece of the transportation puzzle.

“That’s the timeline. I’m not going to fudge on it. And if we don’t have some alternative by then, boy are we going to have a mess on our hands because it’s coming down.”

Asked if she, as governor, could trump the state’s largest city and county and unilaterally tear down a highway that carries more than 100,000 vehicles a day through the heart of Seattle, Gregoire said:

“Yeah, watch me.”

“YEAH, WATCH ME”

Doesn’t that just say it all, “YEAH, Watch Me!”

Isn’t that their real motto, “YEAH, Watch Me!”

Bumper Sticker Phenomenon Revisited:

The Disproportionate Bumper Stickers are representative of the two opposite candidates.

McCain Supporters are not as boisterous:

I don’t see many McCain Stickers, but I don’t believe that it is because we are afraid of having them taken off by Obama supporters. I think it is more of a statement of how Right of Center people view politics.

We see politics, politicians, and government as a necessary evil that we tolerate in order to defend the peace, pave roads, and keep the loonies from destroying the country. We see our government as the original founders saw it. We see our government as something that we have to keep a lease on to keep it from getting out of control with power. That is why we love the constitution so much. In part it was designed to keep our power hungry politicians from intruding on our freedom and making this country into what we left behing in England and Europe.

Obama represents the old European:

And New for that matter, style controlling government. Obama is the tpe of leader who made the first settlers leave England and come to America for freedom, we need to stop him now in order to keep our country free; there is no place for us to go to and form a new ‘Land of the Free”.

WE know that our leaders are human and full of human flaws. We know that we must keep them under check and balance their power with our power.

Lefties see government as the answer to all human ills, happiness, and human evolution. They see politicians as Messiahs, Kings/Queens, Healers, All-knowing, Omnipotent, god like beings that know more than the average person. That is why the left is always eagerly willing to give up our freedoms and prosperity to Obama types and swoon to their knees in obedience.

Hence the difference in the number of Bumper Stickers.

Yes one of America’s most liberal leftist towns supports Obama wholeheartedly. You couldn’t drive a block with out an Obama Sticker staring you in the face. Yes, America’s Olympic Trials took place in Obama Land. In fact you can see Obama Stickers on every freeway in America. I’ve even seen Obama Stickers on SUVs and in fast food restaurant parking lots….are we in trouble?

First there are the Hyphenated-American’s Bumper Stickers:

Ok, most of these -Americans I can understand but Oceanographer-Americans? I always thought that Oceanographers were intelligent reasonable people. And couldn’t we just combine Bowler-Americans with Teamster-Americans? Aren’t they the same people? And Women-Americans, I thought they were in mourning for Hillary.

And what every Happened to American-Americans?

Then you see all of the Flag Waving Patriotic Obama Bumper Stickers:

Now these are the ones that make me go Huh? I thought American was the problem in the world. I thought that America was D—– by God. I thought that there was no Hope in American without Obama. Hmm I wouldn’t think that Obamaites would want an American flag anywhere near their candidate.

Zen? Peace? Never go back? Obama of the World? What do these have to do with being qualified to be the Commander in Chief of the United States of America?

The “Millennials” are leaning towards Obama by a large margin, and in some states, that could make the difference in the fall.

Thus my latest –a relatively short, 10,000 word pamphlet in soft-cover written for the 18 to 25 year old voter. If you are a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, older sibling or just a friend who would like to open the conversation with an Obama enthusiast, I think it will help. (Hugh Hewitt)

We need to educate our younger friends and family members,

It is our responsibility to share our wisdom with the young voter.

This is the most important election of our lifetime. We must be strategic in our actions and endeavors. It is not enough sit and complain about an Obama presidency. We must be diligent, forthright and purposeful in keeping this man out of the most powerful position in the World.

The Carter Years

For those of us who lived through the Jimmy Carter years we know what is in store for us. Gas rationing, Iran hostages, inflation, stagflation, misery index, high interest rates, high unemployment, weakened military…. The newby voters have no clue how far down a radical liberal president can take this country in a few short years. Carter was just your average bumbling liberal. Obama is the real deal radical liberal. His mistakes will be detrimental enough, his intended actions will destroy our economic health and our social structure. Young people will identify with the thought that they will not be allowed to prosper financial in their lifetime, they will understand that freedom of choice of career decisions and financial success will be hampered if Obama takes over. They need to know that Obama will weaken our military. Hugh Hewitt’s pamphlet lays out this information in a precise and concise way, in a style that plays to the younger voter.

Strategic planing is called for in this election.

Get up, Get out, Get going.

Let’s put our effort into saving the American Dream

for our younger friends, children, grandchildren and co-workers.

Let us not, on this Independence Day weekend, dwell on the political pretenders to patriotism rushing to out-proclaim their love of country. Nor let us pay heed to the sneering movie directors and journalism pooh-bahs allergic to red, white, and blue.

Instead, I’d like to share a bit of a special interview with a true Hollywood freedom-lover. Last week, my friend Melanie Morgan of Move America Forward and I co-hosted a special Internet telethon on Ustream.tv to raise money for care packages to send to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The effort yielded more than $1.1 million thanks to thousands of generous donors across the country. Among the special guests who contributed time and resources was musician John Ondrasik of Five For Fighting.

She had been laying low for a few weeks. But I guess she wants more than her 15 minutes of fame. So on June 26th she made a speech to the Gay and Lesbian Leadership Council for the Democrat National Convention. In her speech she contradics many of Barack’s previous “moving to the center” statements.

You see it is not only what she says but how she says it. Because when you grow up in America with privilege and opportunity to attend prestigious colleges and then your husband is the presumptive Democrat Nominee for President of the most debased country in the world and you give yourself over to lies and deceit and you expect the world to bow down to your rhetoric and that when all of your followers give you the thumbs up sign you get such a swollen head that you can’t remember or you just don’t care if what your saying is the truth or just a line to keep the crowd riled up. Because when you are born in the only country in the world that suppresses minorities and you believe that America is the problem of the world then you have the right to say anything you want to in order to make your point, because your point is more important, whether it be true, a lie, or a version of a lie that perpetuates your cause. Because your cause, you see, is more important than the truth, and like we all know those Republicans can’t handle the truth and when you have been discriminated against in this election then you have the right to fight the fight and not necessarily the “good fight”. So that is why it is ok for you to say it the way that you mean it regardless of the facts! Because after all it is all about I me mine and mine and mine and mine….oh yea and Obama.

So she just keeps saying things and making points because only in American can a presidential candidates wife make up stuff and not be called out by the press, because you know that if they did they would be going against their hope the hope that is Obama and Michelle the hope that will reverse two hundred years of the most magnificent progress humans have ever made! Obamas Boastful, McCains “No Brag Just Fact”

So What of this boastful man Obama:

Does he appear boastfull to you? Does his so called “man of the people” ring true? Is he the humble servant he would like us to think he is? Will he serve us or we him? Is he the humble leader he exsposes? What of this man Obama?

For such a wonderfully media-savvy candidate, Obama’s graphic artists keep sending up clunkers. Frightening, presumptuous clunkers. Here’s the campaign’s latest, though I don’t know whether Shepard Fairey had a hand in this or not*:

THE GREAT SEAL OF THE OBAMESSIAH

Some bloggers have postulated that it’s too close to the existing Presidential seal, and therefore violates federal law. I don’t think that’s true; examining the Obama seal at high resolution reveals several differences**:

I. Latin motto changed to “VERO POSSUMUS”, which is Latin for “Si, se puede!”
II. Close examination reveals Obama’s seal contains 57 stars;
III. Eagle’s left wing is much stronger;
IV. The arrows in the eagle’s claw have Nerf tips;
V. That’s not an olive branch, but actually arugula in the other claw.
VI. There is no snake in the Obama eagle’s beak. It was thrown under the bus. It was not the snake that Obama’s eagle knew these many years.

Along with hawking his faux-leather bound “historic” speeches, “adapting” the presidential seal is not exactly enhancing the candidate’s reputation for humility, is it?

Walter Brennan in the T.V show “The Guns of Will Sonnet” told the bad guys that he was not afraid and that he and his sons could take them out and he capped off his statement with this famous line

“ No brag just fact”

Cindy McCain is such a hero. She is doing the good work

while others boast about their own prowess.

What a contrast with Barack and Michelle Obama.

An icy wind whips by as Cindy McCain tramps across hillsides still slick from snow on the Albanian border, wearing well-worn hiking boots and carrying her Prada purse. She’s looking out at minefields and visiting schools where children must thread their way around leftover munitions.

One headmaster told her he had uncovered a cluster bomb when he went out to plant a tree. At another school, the principal said work on a new sports field was halted when workers found more than a dozen unexploded bombs.

McCain’s trip to Kosovo last month with Halo Trust, an international group that removes land mines from post-conflict countries, was a little more comfortable than her typical overseas trips. She has camped out in rural Angola, and was once left stranded when an overbearing African minister of education commandeered her charter plane. She has seen a boy get blown up by a mine in Kuwait.

Those images are a studied contrast to the stylish, perfectly coiffed 53-year-old McCain seen on the presidential campaign trail. She’s a constant presence with her husband, John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee. She likes to say, “I’ll be brief,” and she is – preferring to cede the spotlight quickly. Getting to Know John McCain

It came to me while I was having dinner with Doris Day. No, not that Doris Day. The Doris Day who is married to Col. Bud Day, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, fighter pilot, Vietnam POW and roommate of John McCain at the Hanoi Hilton.

As we ate near the Days’ home in Florida recently, I heard things about Sen. McCain that were deeply moving and politically troubling. Moving because they told me things about him the American people need to know. And troubling because it is clear that Mr. McCain is one of the most private individuals to run for president in history.

Mr. Day relayed to me one of the stories Americans should hear. It involves what happened to him after escaping from a North Vietnamese prison during the war. When he was recaptured, a Vietnamese captor broke his arm and said, “I told you I would make you a cripple.”

The break was designed to shatter Mr. Day’s will. He had survived in prison on the hope that one day he would return to the United States and be able to fly again. To kill that hope, the Vietnamese left part of a bone sticking out of his arm, and put him in a misshapen cast. This was done so that the arm would heal at “a goofy angle,” as Mr. Day explained. Had it done so, he never would have flown again.

But it didn’t heal that way because of John McCain. Risking severe punishment, Messrs. McCain and Day collected pieces of bamboo in the prison courtyard to use as a splint. Mr. McCain put Mr. Day on the floor of their cell and, using his foot, jerked the broken bone into place. Then, using strips from the bandage on his own wounded leg and the bamboo, he put Mr. Day’s splint in place.

For example, in 1991 Cindy McCain was visiting Mother Teresa’s orphanage in Bangladesh when a dying infant was thrust into her hands. The orphanage could not provide the medical care needed to save her life, so Mrs. McCain brought the child home to America with her. She was met at the airport by her husband, who asked what all this was about.

Mrs. McCain replied that the child desperately needed surgery and years of rehabilitation. “I hope she can stay with us,” she told her husband. Mr. McCain agreed. Today that child is their teenage daughter Bridget.

I was aware of this story. What I did not know, and what I learned from Doris, is that there was a second infant Mrs. McCain brought back. She ended up being adopted by a young McCain aide and his wife.

Paul was a scholar and an orator of the first rank; he is not speaking out of abject humility; but saying that he would veil the power of God if, when he preached the gospel, he impressed people with his “excellency of speech.” Belief in Jesus is a miracle produced only by the efficacy of Redemption, not by impressiveness of speech, not by wooing and winning, but by the sheer unaided power of God. The creative power of the Redemption comes through the preaching of the Gospel, but never because of the personality of the preacher. The real fasting of the preacher is not from food, but rather from eloquence, from impressiveness and exquisite diction, from everything that might hinder the gospel of God being presented. The preacher is there as the representative of God - “as though God did beseech you by us.” He is there to present the Gospel of God. If it is only because of my preaching that people desire to be better, they will never get anywhere near Jesus Christ. Anything that flatters me in my preaching of the Gospel will end in making me a traitor to Jesus; I prevent the creative power of His Redemption from doing its work.
