Obama’s Dilemma, How Can He Top Himself?

obama-atlas

That great philosopher, somebody, once asked,

“Can God make a rock so big he can’t lift it?”

Now that the Trillion Dollar “Swindle Us Package” is done What will Obama Do Next?

Obama is no different than other ambitious immortality seekers; he needs to be constantly filled with praise for his accomplishments. Obama needs to find more ways to prove his worth as the President of the United States. In his first month in office he has enacted the The new $825 Billion Stimulus package that will cost well over $1 Trillion if just 2 years of interest is added onto it and now the $75 Billion Homeowner Stability Initiative to Reach Up to 3 to 4 Million At-Risk Homeowners.

So Now What Can Obama Do to Grow His Legacy?

Obviously as a Liberal Democrat he will do what liberal politicians always do, SPEND MORE MONEY!

Obama, “SPEND ME THE MONEY!”

Just a small warning to all who care about our great country be ready for many more large spending bills. Be ready for higher taxes and more economic social engineering to come. Be ready for more government intervention in our daily lives. Be ready to give up your freedom for the good of the Centralized Government.

Beware of Obama and the Democrats growing their legacies by spending your childrens’  money.

The proposed new $825 Billion Stimulus package will cost well over $1 Trillion if just 2 years of interest is added onto it. You see, the federal government does not have the money for the stimulus package, so the Federal Reserve will just print a couple of trillion dollars for them and the American taxpayers will pay it back with interest.

The President and Congressional leaders are calling the current proposed stimulus package “an investment in America’s infrastructure” but that is simply not the truth. According to the Congressional Budget Office, only 3 percent, or just $30 billion of this entire package, is dedicated to road and highway spending. The stimulus package will, however, provide additional funding for 150 different federal programs, will create 32 new federal programs, will expand government employment and federal agency budgets, but it’s still not clear if it will create any measurable number of new private sector jobs.(From Town Hall)

The only question left is,

“Can Obama Create a Program He Can’t Raise Taxes enough to Pay For?”

From Commentary Magizine:

By John Podhoretz

Nonetheless, something did become very confused in the weeks immediately before and after Obama’s swearing-in. It was almost as though the country’s unapologetically liberal politicians found themselves forced to argue that larger government was not so much a good in itself but rather merely a means—a temporary means, even, lasting a couple of years at most—to put the economy back on track.

The argument was disingenuous, because liberal politicians actually do believe in big government for its own sake. And the cognitive dissonance caused by the decision to go with the disingenuous talking point rather than the truer one is, I think, what led Pelosi into her “500 million” error and Obama to slip himself and argue that any and all spending constitutes a “stimulus.”

GOP govs, stimulus strings, and the legality of the Punish Mark Sanford Amendment

By Michelle Malkin  •  February 19, 2009 09:28 AM

The AP has a story declaring that GOP South Carolina Mark Sanford will take stimulus money “despite misgivings.” On Fox News this morning, Sanford expressed a more nuanced approach — asserting that he’ll be going through the plan “with a fine-tooth comb” to determine what funding would be worth accepting given “the strings attached.”

I love this. At the Mesa AZ protest against President Obama today, KFYI listeners brought signs telling Santa Obama what they wanted from the savior-based economy. Hats off to KFYI’s Bruce Jacobs and J.D. Hayworth. Reader Al Swanson sent these priceless pics. (More)

Minnesota Recount: The mess of Friday’s election contest decision

posted at 7:11 pm on February 18, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

The decision to exclude several categories of ballots in the Minnesota Senate election contest by the three-judge panel introduces a serious risk of having the entire result invalidated. The Coleman campaign unsuccessfully lobbied the contest judges to reconsider their ruling today, which means that some ballots will remain rejected even though they met the same criteria as some accepted during the recount phase: (More Hot Air)

Hope lives! High school students skeptical of Obama spending binge

By Michelle Malkin • February 18, 2009 10:34 PM

We need all the glimmers of hope we can get. Take ‘em where you can find ‘em. From an East Valley Tribune story on students at Mesa, AZ’s Dobson High School, where the president/savior spoke earlier today:

Some of the students attentively watched the speech, giving questioning looks and comments, shaking their heads and laughing at some of Obama’s words. Other students listened, occasionally glancing up to watch, while texting on their cell phones, reading a book or finishing school work.

The gymnasium’s events were shown simultaneously in rooms throughout the Mesa school, and teachers were given discretion on whether to show the speech, the students said.

  1. I understand that as a Christian, this may not really be the right thing to bring to your notice.
In the UK, and here in Australia, ‘Top Himself’ is a common euphemism for committing suicide.

So when readers from the UK and Australia read the title for this article, there might be some who might actually think to themselves, “Gee! I wish he would!”

The title’s wording may be a little unfortunate.

  2. TonyfromOz,

    Thank you for the information.

My apologies to anyone who might get the wrong idea from this post.

My apologies to President Obama and his supporters if they were given the wrong idea.

    God Bless,
