Obama, is the Israeli Conflict above your pay grade?

Israel strikes Gaza in 2nd day of attacks; What will Obama do?

If he is to be true to his backers such as George Soros, MoveOn, Code Pink, Bill Ayers and others he will have to condemn Israel and apologize to Humas. If he follows through on plans to reduce military spending he will be sending a clear message to our enemies that America is no longer willing to defend freedom and Israel as well. So far he has said nothing!

There are 23 days left before Obama takes Office. Will he support Israel or let them hang out to dry on their own. At this point it is not clear what Obama will do. Perhaps he does not want to tread on President Bush’s last month in office. Or perhaps he doesn’t know what he will do because war and conflict are above his pay grade.

IF you voted for President-elect Obama did you consider the impactions of America not supporting Israel?

The “American Thinker” has a great article today titled, “Barack Obama and Israel” By Ed Lasky

If he follows his ex-pastors view Israel is in deep trouble:

Moreover, Pastor Wright has beliefs that might disturb some of Obama’s supporters. He is a believer in “liberation theology,” which makes the liberation of the oppressed a paramount virtue. The language of liberation all too often veers off into anti-Jewish rants.continues his voting record on Israel he will vote” (from the American Thinker Dec. 28th)

Obamas backers and supporters don’t like the American Israeli connection:

“One other aspect of Obama’s support that is cause for some discomfort is the fact that he has the seal of approval from Jimmy Carter and billionaire George Soros-both influential and powerful people who take an unseemly glee in trying to undermine the American-Israel alliance.Soros has been funding powerful 527 groups, donating to candidates and others-such as Wes Clark-who are severe critics of Israel, and has tried to organize a lobbying group designed to erode support for Israel in America.” (from the American Thinker Dec. 28th)

Israel strikes Gaza in 2nd day of attacks

By IBRAHIM BARZAK and AMY TEIBEL, Associated Press Writers Ibrahim Barzak And Amy Teibel, Associated Press Writers

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – Israeli warplanes pressing one of Israel’s deadliest assaults ever on Palestinian militants dropped bombs and missiles on a top security installation, a mosque, a TV station and dozens of other targets across the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip on Sunday.

Some 280 Palestinians have been killed and 600 people wounded since Israel’s campaign to quash rocket barrages from Gaza began at midday Saturday, a Gaza health official said. Most of the dead were Hamas police. Israel launched some 250 airstrikes in the first 24 hours.

How Israeli Planned To Kick Hamas’ Butts

Haaretz has a story up regarding the Israeli plans to beat the snot out of Hamas, which is driving sites such as Firedoglaketo their typical unhingedness (not to mention the claims of a mosque and jihadi TV station being hit. Poor babies). Let’s look. Disinformation, secrecy and lies: How the Gaza offensive came about

We know where the President Bush White House stands:

From Reuters:

Backing Israel, the administration of President George W. Bush, in its final weeks in office, put the onus on Hamas to prevent a further escalation.

“The United States … holds Hamas responsible for breaking the ceasefire and for the renewal of violence in Gaza,” Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in a statement. “The ceasefire should be restored immediately.” (Full Article)

I sure agree with that statement! And Obama was taught by Jeremiah Wright for 20 years, thats a long school!

  3. Thanks goodtimepolitics,

I am not sure which bothers me the most, that Obama attended Wright’s Church for 20 years and must be influenced by Wright’s teachings or that Obama can attend a church for 20 years and just through them under the bus with ease.

Where is Obama’s center? Where is his true north?
What are his core beliefs? Can he change on a dime?

Unfortunately he can change on a camera shot or sound bite!

    Thanks again,

  4. He has thrown the gays that gave him much of the campaign money under the bus, which thats what they get for supporting him. He will throw Israel under the bus just as easy. He is now backing away from all the promises he made during the election. He speaks with a forked tongue. He had his aids talking to Hamas even during the campaign which was wrong to do when he wasn’t president yet. He’s power hungry for socialist style governing.

  5. You are so right goodtimespolitics,

For Obama power and control are his goals.
The rest of the geopolitical scene is there only for his glory and gaining more power.

Remember when Obama was protected by the terrorist group the Al Aksa Brigades.
    His allegiances are to himself.

We do live in interesting times.
The next 4 year will be punctuated by Obama-Axlerod-Ayers-Soros machine manipulating, fighting, and gaining a stronghold on controlling America.
