Obama gave Americans the big Snow Job and they bought it in November.
Snow comes to Seattle and we are snow jobbed by political correctness.
Somehow it all seems so appropriate for our times!

Global Warming Sign I Saw in the Seattle Washington Area
As for me and my house!
“And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24: 15).
Lately I have been contemplating the results of the recent American elections:
A sort of peace has come over me now that Americans have chosen the path of least resistance, the path of complacency, the path of mediocrity. This is the path that our countrymen have chosen to put us on and somehow I have peace. Because I have chosen to follow the Lord and not the whims of the electorate I have peace.
Americans like the rest of the world have chosen the “feel good” politics of the day. We have elected a President, Senate, and House who will, for a time, make many Americans feel better about their own sinful nature, their own inadequacies, their own defeatist attitudes, and their own lack of individualistic motivation to achieve. As for me I choose Christ.
Snow in Seattle is just one example of American’s buying into the “feel good” politics:
Imagine if by some great Al Gore powerful machine we could change the temperature of the World when we feel like it. Imagine Al Gore as president a couple of years ago commanding our military to lower the temperature of the planet by one or two degrees to offset 50 years of Global Warming. Now imagine the world during this cold spell being even one or two degrees colder everywhere. Do you think the planet would be better off? Do you think more people would die due to the temperature and all of the ramifications of a one or two degree decrease?
We humans are soooo arrogant, and so gullible at the same time!
As for me and my house I choose to help my neighbors dig out and get to the store.
The last few days have also giving me a peace as I drive around the Seattle area with my little truck chained up. I have peace asking the neighbors if they need help with the snow. I have peace as I shovel paths for the older neighbors. I have peace when I take a couple of children to the mall for lunch while their mother is in bed sick with her car stuck in her driveway. I have peace teaching these little ones about God’s love while we eat together.
Matthew 18 : 1-10
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
“And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
“Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come! 8If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. 9And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.
Obama and Blagojevich….So What!
What good can come of our shouting down Obama? What good can come from accusing, blaming, pointing figures? He is our president now; we need him focused on his job and the threats of the world. If we shout him down what will become of it, more distractions, more innuendos, more blogging?
We had to listen to eight years of George Bush Bashing, can we have some peace for a day?
Don’t get me wrong I am not a supporter of President-elect Obama’s politics or his rhetoric. But I do respect the office of the President of the United States and our election process. The people have spoken, let’s give him his due. I hope and pray that Americans will learn from this election and begin the process of swinging the pendulum back to reasonable traditional American values.
I only hope that people will reject the left’s liberal socialist policies and not get caught up in the endless bickering, name calling, backbiting and investigations that crippled the George Bush presidency. We need to change peoples hearts, minds, and beliefs in order to keep this country great. Piling on endless scandals only degrades the office, and stokes the ambers of bickering which does not lead to wisdom.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that any President should get away with breaking laws. I am only saying that we should not spend all of our time complaining, and shouting. So far none of Obama’s previous scandals have made one drop of difference to the American electorate. We need to focus on his politics, policies, and people he surrounds himself with. We need to be examples to others of how we should live. We need to show the world God’s ways, God’s love, and God’s grace. We need to be pillars standing strong in times of shaky ground.
As for me I have peace, I will be about the Lord’s work,
I chose to have peace as David did after his son died,
II Samuel 12 : 18 – 25:
On the seventh day the child died. David’s servants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they thought, “While the child was still living, we spoke to David but he would not listen to us. How can we tell him the child is dead? He may do something desperate.”
David noticed that his servants were whispering among themselves and he realized the child was dead. “Is the child dead?” he asked.
“Yes,” they replied, “he is dead.”
Then David got up from the ground. After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes, he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house, and at his request they served him food, and he ate.
His servants asked him, “Why are you acting this way? While the child was alive, you fasted and wept, but now that the child is dead, you get up and eat!”
He answered, “While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, ‘Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.’ But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.”
Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and lay with her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. The LORD loved him; 25 and because the LORD loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah.” (II Samuel 12 ;19-25)
We need to get up, stand up, and get back to doing God’s work!
God Bless All,
Merry Christmas,
Riggword

Enviro-nitwits of the day
Seattle’s no-salt policy is endangering lives. It’s just the latest example of enviro-nitwit-ism from greenies in the Puget Sound, who would rather force commuters to risk accidents than “pollute” salty sea water with more salt.
Oy:
To hear the city’s spin, Seattle’s road crews are making “great progress” in clearing the ice-caked streets.
But it turns out “plowed streets” in Seattle actually means “snow-packed,” as in there’s snow and ice left on major arterials by design.
“We’re trying to create a hard-packed surface,” said Alex Wiggins, chief of staff for the Seattle Department of Transportation. “It doesn’t look like anything you’d find in Chicago or New York.”
The city’s approach means crews clear the roads enough for all-wheel and four-wheel-drive vehicles, or those with front-wheel drive cars as long as they are using chains, Wiggins said.
The icy streets are the result of Seattle’s refusal to use salt, an effective ice-buster used by the state Department of Transportation and cities accustomed to dealing with heavy winter snows.
“If we were using salt, you’d see patches of bare road because salt is very effective,” Wiggins said. “We decided not to utilize salt because it’s not a healthy addition to Puget Sound.”
Instead, they’re using sand — which is even more damaging to the environment, as other city officials point out:
“We never use sand,” said Ann Williams, spokeswoman for Denver’s Department of Public Works. “Sand causes dust, and there’s also water-quality issues where it goes into streets and into our rivers.” (More Malkin)

The Obama-Blago contact sheet
Well, here it is — Clinton cleaner-upper-turned-Obama-cleaner-upper Greg Craig’s memo detailing the contacts between Team Obama and Team Blago.
Buried two days before Christmas while Obama and his man-boobs are sunning themselves in Hawaii.
First question upon reading the thin report: Who is Eric Whitaker?
Common tie: Tony Rezko, of course.
Example of Craig’s investigative prowess: “Mr. Emanuel had one or two telephone calls with Governor Blagojevich.”

4:30 p.m. on December 23rd, when both he and Emanuel are literally thousands of miles away. Well played, Messiah.
Here’s the five-page PDF. Updates coming.
