Back in grade school I gave a friend a part of my lunch money:
I watched him later making the rounds while collecting a portion of other kids lunch money as he circled the lunch room. This was my “friend” Ricky, I had been giving him part of my lunch or part of my lunch money all year what was he doing asking all those other kids for their money. My “Friend” Ricky had learned a life long lesson; if he scammed more people he could make a lot more money than just scamming one person. Unfortunately Ricky learned his lesson way before I did.
Later in High School I new a guy who would spend all lunch time asking people for a quarter. I asked him one day how much he had made; by the end of the first lunch he had $20 in quarters. He told me he wasn’t gong to class that afternoon because he was going to go to stay for second lunch and make more money.
As a young adult I planted trees and cut firewood to make a few dollars to feed my family.
I helped a “friend” get a job with the tree planting crew I worked for. I worked hard to plant my 1,600 trees a day at 31/2 cents a tree to make my $72. My friend would always turn in his empty bag about the same time as I did and didn’t seem to be sweating. Later one night I asked him how he planted so many trees without breaking a sweat. He replied, “I just dig one big hole and throw the trees in, then I plant the last few real slow to make it look like I am working”.
I showed up at a “friends’ house to go cut firewood. He got in the truck and rode with me to the downed trees we had spotted. We got out of “my” truck started up “my” chainsaw using “my” gas and worked for 6 hours to fill “my”truck; I cut and did most of the splitting, he stacked and smoked his cigarettes and what ever else he had to smoke. After working hard all day and him hardly working we drove back to his house and dumped off his half, I took “my” smaller half home. When I got home and showed my wife the less than 1/2 truck of fire wood I spent all day cutting she said, “My, it looks like James got the best part of that deal”.
These lessons have come long and hard, but after spending my first 40 years on this planet as a liberal I finally learned my lesson. I hope and pray that the new voters don’t have to go through years of Obama’s “share the wealth plan” to learn their lesson. I hope that they don’t make the rest of us suffer through Obamanomics.

It seams Obama wants to share our wealth with everybody except his relatives!

Just doing a little pre-liveblogging of the Obama-mercial, which begins in just a few minutes.
Wonder if Aunt Zeituni Onyango will be tuning in:
Barack Obama has lived one version of the American Dream that has taken him to the steps of the White House. But a few miles from where the Democratic presidential candidate studied at Harvard, his Kenyan aunt and uncle, immigrants living in modest circumstances in Boston, have a contrasting American story.
Zeituni Onyango, the aunt so affectionately described in Mr Obama’s best-selling memoir Dreams from My Father, lives in a disabled-access flat on a rundown public housing estate in South Boston.
A second relative believed to be the long-lost “Uncle Omar” described in the book was beaten by armed robbers with a “sawed-off rifle” while working in a corner shop in the Dorchester area of the city. He was later evicted from his one-bedroom flat for failing to pay $2,324.20 (£1,488) arrears, according to the Boston Housing Court.
The US press has repeatedly rehearsed Mr Obama’s extraordinary odyssey, but the other side of the family’s American experience has only been revealed in parts. Just across town from where Mr Obama made history as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review, some of his closest blood relatives have confronted the harshness of immigrant life in America. McCain ad: “Compare”
posted at 7:28 am on October 28, 2008 by Ed Morrissey
John McCain has a new ad out today, one that gives a more literal meaning to comparative advertising. “Compare” focuses on economics to paint Barack Obama as “risky”, mentioning but not hammering Obama on his redistributionist comments:
McCain needs to hire Megyn Kelly to hammer home the point.
Here is another story that says it better than I can:

“Grades come out tomorrow,” said my daughter Molly, an eighth grader, when I picked her up at school this afternoon.
“Great,” I answered, “How d’ya think you’re gonna do?”
“Pretty well,” Molly said confidently.
“What will probably be your best grade?” I asked.
“Guitar,” she said, “That will probably be a 97 or a 98.”
“Cool,” I said. “You really have been successful. But I think you should tell your Guitar teacher that you want to give six or seven of those points to some of your classmates who haven’t practiced so hard or don’t have the talent you have.”
She looked up at me, startled. “What?”
“That class is easy for you, and you have lots more points than you need for an A. They need those points more than you do,” I explained.
“Then they should have worked harder!” she protested. “Yeah, I’m sort of talented, but I worked hard to get those grades! I earned them!”
“So you’re telling me that you think it’s fair for you to get to keep all of those good grades, both the part that comes from your having worked harder than your classmates, and the part that comes from the musical talent you inherited from me and your mom. Is that what you’re saying?”
“Well, yeah!”
“Show me your lunchbox,” I said. She looked at me strangely again, but found it on the floorboard and held it up.
I pointed at the “Barack Obama” sticker on its side, which she got from my ex. “That guy,” I said, “wants to use the tax laws to take away more of the money that wealthy people have, whether they got it by working harder or because their parents worked harder to be able to give it to them. He says other people need that money more. He thinks we need to spread the wealth around.
“What I was saying when you first got in the car,” I continued, “is just that we should spread your grade wealth around. You disagreed. Good for you. I don’t really think your Guitar teacher should do that anyway. But let me ask you another question.”
“Okay,” she said, listening thoughtfully.
“Let’s say even though you object, your Guitar teacher decides to spread your grades around to the other students in your class. Do you think you’ll work as hard to get top grades during the next nine weeks?”
“No way!” she said.
I just pointed at the sticker on her lunchbox again. We spent the rest of the short drive to her mom’s house in contemplative silence.

If people thought Joe the Plumber was some kind of stumble for Barack Obama, a rediscovered interview from 2001 should dispel any doubts about Barack Obama’s redistributionism. Seven years ago, Obama told Chicago Public Radio that the Warren Court was too conservative and missed its opportunity to redistribute wealth on a much grander scale. In fact, Obama wanted them to break the Constitution and reorder American society far outside of what the founders intended.
Stop the ACLU has the transcript (via Michelle):

Obama’s “higher purpose” = code for wealth redistribution

Photoshop credit: The People’s Cube
For months, the Obamedia has detected racist “code” in every utterance, gesture, and wardrobe choice of conservatives and Republicans who have dared to oppose The One. Community organizer = racist. Wearing white = racist. Criticizing ACORN = racist. “That one” = racist. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
It’s time to flip the script and use a decoder ring on Obama’s words. Today in Ohio, the Spreader of Wealth will deliver his “closing argument.” His vow: To “restore” a “higher purpose.”
