How did the United States of America, the Greatest Capitalist Country in the History of the World, turn out to be 47% Socialist?
The engine of Capitalism has been surging along for over 200 years. In fact we could go back to the days of the earliest settlers to learn how socialism didn’t work and capitalism saved the day. In those earliest times of struggle and strife the settlers soon learned that collectivist farming didn’t work as they were on their way to starvation and failure. Then in one of the first brave and insightful moves in our countries history William Bradford changed the rules and gave each settler his own plot of land and allowed them to trade and sell what they could grow with their own hands; Firing up the sense of pride and ownership that is intrinsic in all people. This led to a new prosperity that has been growing in America for 400 years.

When the Pilgrims came to America aboard the Mayflower to establish the Plymouth Colony, they did so under the requirement that “all profits and benefits that are got by trade, working, fishing, or any other means” were to be placed into the “common stock” of the colony and that “all such persons as are of this colony are to have their provisions out of the common stock.” Sort of “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need”— Socialism.
But something happened at Plymouth in 1623 because “instead of famine now God gave them plenty,” Bradford wrote that and in 1624 so much was harvested that they were able to export corn.
William Bradford was a “man of God” and because of that he was a student of the word of God, and there he found wisdom. First he abolished socialism and converted to a free market society. He did as the Jews did when the entered into the promised land—he divided the land—gave each household a parcel of land and told them they could keep all that they produced, or trade it away as they saw fit. Socialism doesn’t work!
Obama keeps espousing that he will only tax people who make over $250,000 dollars a year. Joe plumber is not the only guy in this category. My doctor probably makes more than that in the clinic that she owns, My step-sons father makes more than that in the dental clinic he owns, and farmers all over America make more than $250,000 a year. Do we want our doctors, dentist, and food producers slowing down and grinding to a halt? Do we want to deny the poorest of the world their food supply? The rest of the world relies on the Engine of American capitalism to pull them up and raise their standard of living. Do we want to strop feeding fuel to the Engine of Capitalism that has pulled the world along for so long?
Free Rebublic has this comment about Liberals:

It took a industrial mobilization for World War II to end the Depression. That worked, but it diverted (at its peak) close to 40% of the national GDP to the war effort.”
But how did we get here, This is not my beautiful Capitalist Country!
We got here through sixty years of liberal socialist educators slowly turning the Capitalist Cruse Ship around and now we are heading back to port to dismantle and place the Capitalist Cruse Ship into dry dock storage. We got here by giving up on education and replacing it with indoctrination. We got here by instilling in our youth the idea the all is relative and socialism is a nice way to treat people, just as nice as capitalism…..even nicer because we all are given an equal slice. We have changed the minds of 47% of the Capitlist Cruse Ship passsagers to think that everyone should have the same type of cabin on the ship. But instead of all of us getting windo cabins, we are all going to relegated to the engine room, While the only people with window cabins will be the leftest politicians like Obama, Ayers, Soros, Pelosi, Reed, and Murtha.
Obama and his gang will smear, cheat, lie, and steal this election in the name of “Can’t we all just get along” and “Share the Wealth”. His tactics are thuggery and voter fraud and large rally group mentality.
Russia, North Korea, China, Cuba, Venizuela……Don’t Work!
We are America, the United States of America the Country who has lead the world into prosperity, the country that the poor and suppressed look up to for help. If we give up on Capitilism and head towards socialism the poor of the world will suffer. The socilist experiment has been tried and has been shown to fail. The Capitalist experiment has been showed to raise the lifestyles and prosperity of the common people around the world.

Honestly, I’m rather surprised that Joe Wurzelbacher and his rope-line dialogue with Barack Obama has managed to stay in the news for as long as it has. I knew when I first heard the exchange that it went badly for Obama. I didn’t expect Joe the Plumber to be the main topic of the last presidential debate. And I certainly didn’t expect Obama supporters to keep the story alive by their rabid character assassination of a man who did nothing more than ask a question — at random.

Are 23,000 New York State licenses a ‘National Security Nightmare’?
An expert panel of immigration, homeland security and motor vehicle policy professionals and officials assembled today to provide testimony on 23,000 driver’s licenses, issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles last year; to an ad hoc Task Force consisting of State Assemblyman Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson), Rensselaer County Clerk Frank Merola (R – North Greenbush) and Ed Kowalski, Director of 9/11 Families for a Secure America.
The licenses were issued to foreign visitors present in the United States legally, but a temporary basis, which is a normal practice in New York State. However, these particular licenses were issued as part of ‘Phase 1’ of former Governor Eliot Spitzer’s plan to issue driver’s licenses to all residents of New York—regardless of immigration status—and in contravention to normal DMV policy, did not contain a “Temporary Visitor” stamp. This practice was later abolished, although the so-called “Spitzer licenses” were never recalled.
In April 2008, DMV Commissioner David Swarts proposed that the state had no legal authority to revoke the licenses, although William Film, a Deputy County Clerk in charge of a DMV Office, disagreed at today’s hearing at the Metropolitan Club in Manhattan.
Jim Staudenraus, a concerned citizen who testified at the hearing and had previously taken legal action in STAUDENRAUS V. SPITZER against Spitzer’s original driver’s license plan, maintained that even if the DMV were to flag the license holders in question and require them to update their immigration status when renewing their licenses, significant voter fraud had already occurred due to the licenses and is likely to continue.
Due to the Federal Motor Voter Law, New York is required to provide individuals with the opportunity to register to vote at the same time that they apply for a driver’s license or seek to renew a driver’s license. According to the New York Post, while it is up to the local boards of election to determine who is eligible to vote, it is rare that election officials check into a person’s legal status, especially if they have identifying information on their voter-registration form like a driver’s license.
“The right to vote is the most sacred in any Democracy. When you consider how many Americans have fought and died for that right, it is an outrage that New York State has provided non-citizens with a laminated invitation to vote fraud,” Staudenraus said.
Testimony was heard from Brian Zimmer, President of the Coalition for a Secure Driver’s License, which noted that as issued, the Spitzer licenses are permanent instruments. Documentation provided by Zimmer indicated that under current DMV policy, no valid proof of immigration status would be required for these license holders to renew them in indefinite eight year increments, even though they may have overstayed their visa by that time.
Dr. Stephen Steinlight of the Center for Immigration Studies felt that these Spitzer licenses pose a serious threat to national security.
“The driver’s license is the mother of all validating documents, possessing one opens a myriad of doors,” Steinlight said. “It did for the 9/11 mass murderers. I’m sure we all share the nightmare it has already enabled terrorists to transport dirty bombs in suitcases in the trunks of cars all across America. It has fueled the financial meltdown. It also represents the potential for massive voter fraud in the upcoming Presidential and Congressional elections. All one needs is a driver’s license.”
The panel listened to expert testimony on potential solutions to avert voter fraud and a national security nightmare caused by this administrative action taken by Governor Spitzer and the DMV which was never vetted through the legislature. Ball and Merola plan to deliver a written report on or about January 1, 2009.
“With all of the recent allegations leveled against ACORN, it makes me uneasy to hear that this kind of voter fraud potential exists here in New York because of Spitzer licenses,” Ball said. “What genuinely frightens me though, is that the DMV really has no idea if terrorists looking for ‘breeder documents’ knew about these Spitzer licenses and may already be embedded here to stay because of them. From this day forward, my mission is to ensure that these 23,000 licenses are scrutinized against the FBI national database, scrubbed against the voter registration rolls, and brought into compliance with the Real ID Act so that the expiration of the license will not postdate the expiration of the visa used to obtain it.”

Expect that Congress and Obama will change laws to keep him in power.
Expect that our liberties will be slowly eroded away.
