The Dems have been putting the brakes on Americanism since they took over Congress:
If Obama joins Pelosi and Reid in power we will see the end of American Capitalist Prosperity. This Congress has been inept at best and obstructionist most of the time. Michell Malkin calls them “Capitulationist”; they cannot pull the trigger on a prosperity inducing oil drilling bill. They cannot wholeheartedly support the War against Global Jihadists. All they know how to do is Blame Bush and do nothing! They have no clue what to do with America, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said yesterday about the financial crisis “no one knows what to do”. Pelosi and Reid are waiting for their savior to arrive, then they can all take this country down together.
The Democratic controlled Congress reminds me of the opening scene
in the Disney/Pixar Movie “Bugs Life”
Reid, Pelosi, and the Rest of the Dems are looking for their Svengali…Obama!
They are waiting for Obama to lead them around the leaf of leadership that has fallen in their path to power, fame, and glory.
Reid, “NO one knows what to do”
Then Mr. Reid, get out of the way and let the grownups run the operation. There are plenty of good intelligent strong leaders in the Republican side that will lead you through, over, and under the burden of leadership you seem to think that you have.
We must defeat these, “Capitulationist”
Here is the problem:
Democratic Congress May Adjourn, Leave Crisis to Fed, Treasury
Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) — The Democratic-controlled Congress, acknowledging that it isn’t equipped to lead the way to a solution for the financial crisis and can’t agree on a path to follow, is likely to just get out of the way. Lawmakers say they are unlikely to take action before, or to delay, their planned adjournments — Sept. 26 for the House of Representatives, a week later for the Senate.
One reason, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said yesterday, is that “no one knows what to do” at the moment.
Nancy Pelosi: Ignorant about natural gas
Nancy Pelosi’s mouth emits a lot of natural gas, but she has no idea about how the other kind is produced.
Conn Carroll at Heritage teaches her a lesson:
Democrats pass hoax drilling bill
Nancy Pelosi declared drilling a “hoax.”
Now, after getting hammered by the GOP and public opinion demanding that the Democrats in charge take steps toward energy independence, San Fran Nan and her do-nothing crew have passed a drilling bill that is, well, a hoax. The bill is HR 6899.

McCain hits Raines in new ad, “Advice”; Update: Obama tries CPR on “seven houses” lament
posted at 6:35 pm on September 18, 2008 by Ed Morrissey
John McCain has decided to attack Barack Obama on his connections to Fannie Mae CEO Franklin Raines. With Obama attempting to pass off McCain as a newcomer to the Hope-Change Express, McCain points out Obama’s complete lack of economic experience — and points out that his adviser has a great deal of responsibility for Fannie Mae’s insolvency: (More Hot Air)

Gang of 10/16/20 disbands
posted at 8:30 am on September 19, 2008 by Ed Morrissey
The latest in Senate “gangs” has given up their turf, at least for now. The Hill reports that the bipartisan coalition that attempted to float a non-drilling drilling proposal has disbanded after seeing no prospect for wide support. They will satisfy themselves by offering the most Senatorial of constructs — the “statement of principals [sic]“: (more Hot Air)
Phew: Gang of 20 sellout bill is dead for now
Breathe a small sigh of relief. A capitulationist bullet has been dodged. Looks like the Gang of 20 sham energy bill won’t come up for a vote before the November elections.
