Obama in Paradise; $28,000 a plate bash with Babes.
Senator Obama, the man with the answers, the compassionate man, the man of the common folk, the man who would be President snuggles up to the rich elite Hollywood folk. Barack Obama hobnobs with the big wigs of Beverly Hills while two million suffer in Texas and many more suffer from failing financial institutions. Yep, O’ bomb is hangin’ with Babs in “Beverly… Hills that is” while we sit home and eat cake.
Yes, $28,000 dollars you can sit with Barry and Babs and gaze into “The One’s” eyes.
I hope that Babs and Barry will use some of that money to help out Texans. (you can if you follow the Hugh Hewitt link to Feed the Children Link below)
Ol’ Jed Clampett could teach Mr. Obama a few things about remaining common when surrounded by wealth in Beverly…Hills that is.
Please feel free to sing along. It may take a couple of times to catch the tune, but I think it works.
Come listen to my story ’bout an empty head.
A community organizer, barely kept his habit feed.
Then one day he thought Michelle was cool,
Up from the ranks came a bumbling fool.
***Hope that is, Rezzz-Ko, Saul Alinski
First thing you know O’ bomb’s a millionaire,
Rich folk said Barak Move-on up from there.
Said, a politician is what you ought to be,
So they loaded up the Hype, and
Moved so cleverly,
Dean that is,
Swooning Fools,
Movie Stars.
Thank you Jed Clampett,
Babs had a heart for Hillary!

Babs in Beverly Hills: Will she melt down?
It’s been the headline on Drudge all day: Hollyweird is getting ready to fork over millions to save Obama at Beverly Hills meg-million-dollar fundraiser tonight.
Barbra Streisand will sing at a $28,500-per-person gala.
Will she be able to keep it together — or will we see another meltdown?
Memories…
Remember: “Shut the [expletive] up!”
And remember her illiterate and blundering BDS blog posts?
Should be an entertaining tonight if past behavior is any indication.
They can’t help themselves.

Yes! The Barbra Streisand Kiss of Death
She will sing for her savior. And we should cheer. Because it has done wonders for all the other political candidates she has supported. When Barbra croons for you, you can kiss your chances of winning goodbye.
Obama, Slip Sliding Away!
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 6:21 PM Victor Davis Hanson on the accelerating collapse of the Obama campaign. (HT: RobinsonandLong.com).
Obama’s decision to hang with the silly-but-glam Barbra Streisand crowd tonight is another in a string of miscalculations extending back to Berlin. Obama’s prompter-dependent and increasingly erratic in his campaign choices as panic sets in, and it seems to impact his every move.
UPDATE: John McCain in Ohio today:
“[Obama] talked about siding with the people… just before he flew off to Hollywood for a fundraiser with Barbra Streisand and his celebrity friends. Let me tell you, my friends, there is no place I’d rather be than here, with the working men and women of Ohio.”

Wow, 9 million bucks. Here I am a common folk, agonizing because I spent $13 on deserts this week. I can’t even imagine paying 28k for a dinner. There are so many other things that could be done with that kind of money.
The first line on our budget is charitable donations, so I’ll be sending my check to the Salvation Army and to my church’s disaster relief program.
I wonder if Obama thought to take the lady he spoke about that worked three jobs and had no health insurance. She probably could use a nice evening out.
I wonder how many health insurance policies that 9 million bucks would buy for the working poor.
Yes, hubby ate cake (ice cream) while I ate key lime pie and we watched t.v. fun times with the common folk. At least I didn’t have to buy a new dress.

Thanks for the comment kringeesmom,
It is ironic that the man who is going to save the starving and the poor is whooping it up with the Hollywood Elite.
Personally I have no problem with politicians raising money for elections. Money is how we determine achievement in a capitalist society. If people want to give more to McCain Palin than Obama, I am all for it.
But what gets me is the arrogant snobbery of Obama and his followers. They all speak so lowly of the wealthy business person, but throw big bashes like they are going out of style.
This country thrives because we are allowed to try and get rich. Some make it and they supply jobs for others. The poor and the middle class actually do better when more people become rich.
Obama wants to eat his cake and our cake as well.
Thanks again and God Bless, kringeesmom.
