Sarah Palin has God on her side.

You can too, But you will have to read further to understand.

Non-believers welcome here!

Before you leave this post I ask that you take a little time to understand what I mean by “Sarah Palin has God on her side”. Believe me I am not trying to convert anyone, although it would be a blessing if someone out there came to the Lord with some help from this post. No my purpose here is to educate not evangelize.

Having God on your side does not mean that you always win.

Sometimes God allows us to lose. Sometimes God does not want us to win the earthly prize because He has a bigger plan that leads to our heavenly prize. As with the story of the prodigal son our Heavenly Father will let us sow our earthly oats and wait patiently for our repentance and return to Him. The father “divided to them his livelihood” (Luke 15: 12), and allowed his son to leave home to learn about life by living it. “But when he had spent all , there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to want.” This left the prodigal to have to take job feeding pigs. He was so poor that he “would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything” (Luke 15: 16).

God does not promise us an easy path only that he will be there with us, waiting for us to return to him. Like the son in this story our father will always take us back to his open arms. “But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him” (Luke 15:20). God is there for you if you should choose to open your heart. Sarah Palin knows that her God is with her through good and bad times. She is aware of in whom her faith lies.

Where does Sarah’s confidence come from?

Sarah Palin has demonstrated an amazing amount of confidence in the heat of attacks and smears on herself and her family. Sarah Palin does not seem rattled even after Jumping into the national spotlight. Sarah Palin showed poise and self- assuredness under the spotlight of ABC news and while being tested by an unfriendly opponent, Charles Gibson. Her confidence does not come from a secular veiw of the world. Her confidence does not come from how much money she has, how many cars she has, or which video she just received from NetFlix. No, her confidence is not dictated by worldly events. Her confidence comes from knowing that the God of the universe has promised her eternal life in Heaven with Him.

Psalm 121: 1 & 2

I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

This is to say that Christians who know Jesus intimately know that they are eternally saved.

We know that the Lord and creator of the Universe will protect us;

it doesn’t get any better than that.

Once that decision is made clear like Christ said,

“It is finished” (John 19: 30).

So, essentially a saved Christian should know and live this passage ” by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (II Peter 1: 4). We are free from the trapings of this world. The believer has been given the keys to the kingdom and everything else on this planet is gravy, frosting on the cake, an extra bag of chips. That is why Sarah can say, pray for our troops that God will be with them. Christians are not guaranteed victory in physical battle, but in the spiritual battle that is around us every day.

It is like the baseball player who hits a home run over the fence. He has already hit the home run, he has no struggle only to run the bases and accept the success of hitting the home run. When a person gives his/her life to the Lord he/she has hit the home run, “It is finished”, we are complete. God has promised us a place in heaven:

John 14:2

In my Father’s house are many rooms;

if it were not so, I would have told you.

I am going there to prepare a place for you.

This is the essence of Sarah Palin’s faith and confidence.

She knows she is seen as cleansed, as eternal, as saved forever. Her life on this planet is now only to be used to Glorify God, praise Him, and do His bidding. The challenges and difficulties she has faced and will face are all blessings from the Lord. He will not allow her to be put through anything that He will not prepare her for. God is with Sarah Palin, God is on her side regardless of what we seem to see as mere humans. Her children are blessings, her husband is a blessing, her governorship is a blessing, her candidacy for Vice President is a blessing, and even the eventual difficulties of being in the position of power she is headed for will be seen as blessings from God.

Non-Christians may not completely understand,

But they can begin to see why Sarah Palin walks with complete confidence in her. She can walk tall in spite of the negative smears and endless investigations because she is walking in God’s love, in God’s promises, inside the bubble of protection that God gives freely. All she had to do was accept Jesus as her Lord and Saviour.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,

that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Secualarists have a limited vision of eternaty,

Therefore it is hard for them to understand this partaking of His divine essence. It is hard for many people of non-Christian religions to understand the strength that Christians have due to His love and His promise of eternal life in Heaven. In fact many who call themselves Christians do not understand the freedom we have once we are saved. Many do not understand the concept of “It is finished” the home run has already been hit.

Alaskan lawmakers to file suit to stop legislative probe run amuck

posted at 6:00 pm on September 16, 2008 by Ed Morrissey

Claiming that their colleagues have violated the law in turning the so-called Troopergate probe into a political witch hunt, five members of the Alaskan legislature will file a lawsuit demaning a permanent injunction against the investigation. They make several claims, most of which involve the partisan nature of the leaders of the probe (emphases mine): (Continued)

Battlegrounds: Florida, Pennsylvania breaking for McCain?

As if the Barack Obama needed any more bad news, the St. Petersburg Times and Zogby both deliver cause for pessimism at Team O. Florida polling shows that despite spending millions in advertising in the Sunshine State and a delay in advertising for McCain, Obama is in worse position that John Kerry at the same time in 2004. Zogby has new polling that shows Obama now trails in Pennsylvania, a must-hold state for the Democrats. (more from Hot Air)

Can a Godly Woman be a great Vice President,

I believe so.

The Colorado Springs Gazette thinks so as well,

Oppinion: Fabricating a GOP tyrant

That Colorado Springs was one of the first stops for Sarah Palin and John McCain after the convention is no mystery. They could be regulars between now and Nov. 4.

Evangelical Christians are an essential part of the Republican base, and without their support Republicans might as well forfeit. Obvious characteristics make El Paso County an important GOP stump in this presidential race: It’s the second-most populous county in a swing state, it is Colorado’s hub of conservative evangelical Christianity, and some have called it the closest thing the world has to an evangelical Vatican (a stretch). Palin is an evangelical Christian, so she helps close a credibility gap McCain has had with the so-called religious right. From the perspective of policy wonks who advise candidates, if James Dobson is happy in the Springs, the Christian right is happy nationwide.

To the mainstream national press and a growing demographic increasingly known as the secularist left, Palin’s appeal to Colorado Springs is something equal to a crime against the Constitution and a legal theory known as separation of church and state. A statement Palin made to her church has become fodder for alarmists, who seem to fear that bringing religious beliefs into the White House moves our country a giant step in the direction of becoming a Christian theocracy. A recent e-mail to The Gazette, from a local leader of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, warned of Palin with an opening sentence: “Can you spell T-H-E-O-C-R-A-C-Y?” (complete article)

The Atlantic should have Googled Jill Greenberg before hiring her

By Michelle Malkin • September 14, 2008 11:03 PM

I don’t feel sorry for The Atlantic magazine.

They are quite upset after discovering that Jill Greenberg, the left-wing photographer they hired to take photos of John McCain, is a deranged lunatic who manipulated pictures of the candidate to put him in a bad light — and then posted hateful photoshops of the images on her personal website and gloated about it to the Photo District News website. ACORN commits fraud in Michigan

posted at 7:28 am on September 15, 2008 by Ed Morrissey

The pattern of ACORN’s voter-registration fraud continues in Michigan. The Detroit Free Press reports that the Secretary of State has supplied evidence to the US Attorney’s office for potential prosecution after getting complaints from registrars about duplicate registrations and obviously made-up names on others, almost all from ACORN’s paid staff:

Several municipal clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications, most of them from a nationwide community activist group working to help low- and moderate-income families.

The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program among its many social service programs. ACORN’s Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees.

“There appears to be a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications,” said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office. “And it appears to be widespread.” (More Hot Air Article)

Oswald Chambers’ “My Utmost for His Highest”

GOD FIRST

Put God First in Trust. “Jesus did not commit Himself unto them . . . for He knew what was in man.” John 2:24-25

Our Lord trusted no man; yet He was never suspicious, never bitter, never in despair about any man, because He put God first in trust; He trusted absolutely in what God’s grace could do for any man. If I put my trust in human beings first, I will end in despairing of everyone; I will become bitter, because I have insisted on man being what no man ever can be – absolutely right. Never trust anything but the grace of God in yourself or in anyone else.

Put God’s Needs First. “Lo, I come to do Thy will, 0 God.” Hebrews 10:9

A man’s obedience is to what he sees to be a need; Our Lord’s obedience was to the will of His Father. The cry to-day is – “We must get some work to do; the heathen are dying without God; we must go and tell them of Him.” We have to see first of all that God’s needs in us personally are being met. “Tarry ye until. . . .” The purpose of this College is to get us rightly related to the needs of God. When God’s needs in us have been met, then He will open the way for us to realize His needs elsewhere.

Put God’s Trust First. “And whoso receiveth one such little child in my name receiveth Me.” Matthew 18:5

God’s trust is that He gives me Himself as a babe. God expects my personal life to be a “Bethlehem.” Am I allowing my natural life to be slowly transfigured by the indwelling life of the Son of God? God’s ultimate purpose is that His Son might be manifested in my mortal flesh.

  2. Excellent post.

Sarah Palin cannot be broken, which is what the media is trying to do. As you said, her strength comes from God, and this is a strength that stands above everything. Leftists like Charles Gibson are wasting their time asking her the same questions over and over to try and sink her. It is not going to happen. She is not going to take the bait. They are only sinking themselves.

  4. peak9,

Thanks for your observation, “They are only sinking themselves”.

Do you think that Americans will ever get it?
Do you think enough Americans will have the intelligence to vote for McCain Palin rather than give this country over to liberal activists

Thanks again for your comments, keep em coming.

    God Bless,

  5. Take heed, ye of little faith: There’s so
much of God shining through in the life example of Sarah Palin (Think her first name is a coincidence?–Think again. They don’t come much more biblical than that!). There’s a McCain-Palin landslide a-comin’ on November 4th. The hysterical lunacy of the left that we’re being treating to now is just the icing on the cake.

  6. Lisa P,

Thank you so much for your comment.

Yep, it seems like we are on our way to winning.

But, if you know anything about the Chicago Political Machine and fraudulent voter register groups like ACORN not to mention the Soros-Dean-Axlerod-Ayers-Rezko alliance we need to stay very far ahead so we can still win when they cheat!

The time to start really fighting is now!

Good to here from you, keep your comments coming.

    riggword.

  7. I’m glad God’s on her side, ’cause if she wins we are all going to need his help.
