Obama, Arrogance VS. Conscience:

What do men believe in their hearts, that is the question:

We cannot always tell from the outside what men feel in their hearts. But sometimes the outside reveals the heart of a man. Obama preaches love, equality, Christian ideals, “can’t we all get along” philosophy, Republicans are rich jerks who are selfish and don’t care about the poor. The list can go on and on of Obama’s rhetorical self-professed image. His actions tell more about the man than his words. As the old Chinese proverb says, “One Picture is Worth a Thousand Words”

O-Farce One

Yes, you are reading this correctly; it says President on Obama’s Chair

From CBS News’ Allison O’Keefe:

Barack Obama’s new campaign plane is nothing short of grand. Well, for the candidate that is.

Obama’s section of the plane rivals that of any first class. Recently the front cabin of the Boeing 757 was retrofitted to install four individual chairs that resemble La-Z-Boys. They are free-standing and made of plush leather with pockets on the sides. There is also a booth which seats four for a meeting or a meal.

His chair has his name and campaign logo embroidered on the back top — “Obama ‘08” on one line and “President” underneath. To one side is a small table stacked with newspapers ready for the candidate’s arrival. The table of the booth is always covered in snacks and cheese and is where Obama spends most of his time during flights meeting with staff and sitting for the occasional interview. (More)

From Michelle Malkin:

Obama’s chair on his jet reads, “President”; LA Times analyst says his arrogance is a “myth”

By see-dubya • August 4, 2008 10:31 AM

Front and center on the LA Times’ site is an article by media analyst James Rainey, sniffing at the commentariat who have tried to brand Obama as “arrogant”, “presumptuous”, “elitist”, or “a hollow pompous arugula-snarfing windbag in love with the sound of his own voice” (er, that last one’s more or less my coinage) and jumping the gun by acting “too presidential“:

We have reporters, columnists and TV talking heads to thank for exposing these outrageous displays. So apparently the verdict is in: Sen. Barack Obama, too confident to govern.

It all would be quite funny if many people didn’t seem to be inhaling this multimedia stink bomb as if it were fragrant truth.

So who are you going to believe: credentialed mainstream media analyst James Rainey of the extremely important (and credible) Los Angeles Times…

…or your own lyin’ eyes?

As a Christian Man I am drawn by God to be decerning of my leaders. I am also called by God not to judge least I be judged,

Romans 1:1-4

You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance?”

Many non-Christians will read this to say, “Don’t Judge anybody”, but it is not about letting everyone run wild to their own aggrandizement. As a Christian I must use discernment in supporting or rejecting a potential leader. Obama has arrogance beyond arrogance and it is for us to discern this characteristic and confront the issue. God says, ” So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?” I have searched my soul and God’s love through prayer. My conscience and soul and my relationship with Jesus reveals that I have yet to be quite as arrogant as to assume that I have a position of leadership before I actually have earned the position. I have in the past had my own bouts with arrogance, but I will say again I am not attempting to be the leader of the American people. Therefore I have no fear of calling Obama out for his arrogance. God will judge me on my judgment; I am humbled by this thought and I will leave that to God.

So, Where do we get our conscience?

Our conscienc is etched on our hearts by our creator. He hard wires us at birth to know right from wrong. Human’s fall away to follow their own will, flesh, lusts, power, self-fulfillment, self-promotion, pride, and more. Satin stokes the ambers of our flesh to increase the flame of self-indulgance instead of God-indulgence. We have no excuse when we slide into sin, God has etched right and wrong on our hearts.

Romans 2:12-16 (New International Version)

All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) This will take place on the day when God will judge men’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

The Nelson Study Bible states, “2:14 by nature do the things in the law: Gentiles who do not have the Law still do such things as honor their parents, which indicates that they believe in a basic moral law( v. 15). They know within their hearts that there is difference between right and wrong. This “law of conscience” serves as a judge to them in place of Moses’ law. 2:15 The Law is not inscribed in our hearts, but the work of the law is written on our hearts. The Law of Moses was engraved in stone, and there is a similar moral law within every person. 2:16 According to the gospel Paul preached, God will judge not only people’s actions, but their motives or secrets, as well (see 1 Corinthians 4:5)

In any case Obama has shown over and over his arrogance and nonchalance in exploiting his position without conscience or concern for how he affects others.

  1. So now, when, as Obama thinks, he doesn’t need more delegates to be a nominee, he says that the MI & FL delegations should be seated in full and with full voting rights. So he acknowledges that the popular vote is clearly on Hillary’s side – better later than never.

It’s easy to tell now why is this rush – the polls show clearly that Florida is leaning towards McCain more and more, and Michigan is again a on a table. And in this heat I believe Clinton should use the situation without much hesitation and urge for a roll call during the convention. Let’s see who will get more delegates at the finish.

  2. Rigg OT but have you been to Savage politics. seems it’s down. Hope it wasn’t hacked

  3. Amazon Queen,

Yes it is down. I got connected just long enough to start to read the article by Anthony.

It featured an interview with a high military official. I like the idea of bringing in knowledgeable people who have credibility and expertise. He is in support of McCain.

Savage will be back, I am sure.

  4. commnetspage,

    Thanks for your comments.
I am all for more chaos in the Democrat party.

Either candidate in my mind will not be good for America.

  5. Ok, I have to ask, does anyone know anything about McCain’s plane? I would really like to see if he is arrogant at all too. :)

I am finding reading about Obama’s crazyness interesting… but would like to also read about McCain.. And compare the two… I did a search in google, no answer.

  6. Anna,

    Welcome back,

You are so correct to want to know more about McCain. I wish more Americans were as dillagent as you are. This is a seriously important election; as many as four supreme court justices may be nominated for the highest court. The ramifications of this will influence our countries direction for 10, 20, 30 years. It is important.

As I stated before there will be a time to praise McCain and his many accomplishments.

Today is the day. Check out my newest post “McCain Gets America”

This is a general idea of who McCain is. The details will come.

First point, and not at all the least point, McCain understands and supports Americans being Americans!

If you want an in-depth analysis from a Military Man check out this interview with Navel Officer Doug Roulstone. He is an expert in military issues and he has a whole list of reasons to vote for McCain. You can read the article

    at : http://savagepolitics.com/

This is the first of many interviews to come with experts in their fields about McCain and the election.

Anna, you will just have to take my word on this that the site I am having you visit is legitimate and a good source of Positive McCain characteristics. Check it out and get back to me.
