A Letter to Myself:

Politics is the Opiate of the People:

Once a week whether I need it or not I have to write something about the Lord of the Universe to keep me grounded. I have found myself being lured into this political debate by the ever present fragrance of self-worth and recognition. It is so easy to be distracted by the aphrodisiac of feeling like I have the answers to this political season. It is so alluring to feel like I might even make a wisp of a difference in this years hotly debated Presidential race.

Remember Politics is Not My God:

Like the title of one of my favorite blogs “Without Politics” I need to remember that God is in charge; we will survive without politics. He is our hope and our light. David survived, Daniel survived, Joseph survived, and Jesus survived a Wicked Empire. We will be blessed by God in spite of our political leaders. Right now Christians are struggling to survive in the Sudan, North Korea, China, Cuba, Venezuela, Afghanistan, all over the world Christians are joyful because they have Christ in them and with them.

I Need to Remember to Put Everything into God’s Life Boat:

“But He said to them, ‘Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?

Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm,

So the men marveled, sying, ‘Who can this be,

that even the winds and the sea obey Him?’”

(Matthew 8:29, NKJV)

Just like Jesus calming the waters when his disciples were losing their faith, he will calm my life during political turmoil and governmental chaos. This political thing can make us feel worthwhile; it can make us feel important; it can take us off of God’s path for us; it can become our obsession; we become obsessed with are our own obsession, God should be our obsession. I must persevere toward Jesus. We must be diligent to seek God first as our goal.

Oswald Chambers “My Utmost for His highest,

WHAT ARE YOU HAUNTED BY?

What man is he that feareth the Lord?” Psalm 25:12

What are you haunted by? You will say – By nothing, but we are all haunted by something, generally by ourselves, or, if we are Christians, by our experience. The Psalmist says we are to be haunted by God. The abiding consciousness of the life is to be God, not thinking about Him. The whole of our life inside and out is to be absolutely haunted by the presence of God. A child’s consciousness is so mother-haunted that although the child is not consciously thinking of its mother, yet when calamity arises, the relationship that abides is that of the mother. So we are to live and move and have our being in God, to look at everything in relation to God, because the abiding consciousness of God pushes itself to the front all the time.

If we are haunted by God, nothing else can get in, no cares, no tribulation, no anxieties. We see now why Our Lord so emphasized the sin of worry. How can we dare be so utterly unbelieving when God is round about us? To be haunted by God is to have an effective barricade against all the onslaughts of the enemy.

“His soul shall dwell at ease.” In tribulation, misunderstanding, slander, in the midst of all these things, if our life is hid with Christ in God, He will keep us at ease. We rob ourselves of the marvelous revelation of this abiding companionship of God. “God is our Refuge” – nothing can come through that shelter.

Oh, Lord help me to be obsessed by you and haunted by you. Help me to put this election cycle into perspective and remain passionately and desperately seeking Jesus. Amen.

  1. MINISTERING ANGELS
The Bible makes it very clear that we are to send the angels out to fight for us, for they have much more power than us mere mortals. For all the problems that we face are orchestrated by the evil unseen principalities and powers, which seeks constantly to destroy us.
The Lord said to me, “ that one of His angels has enough power to deal with all my troubles,” and yet He assures me that He has multitudes ready to swing into action on our behalf, when we give the command for them to fight. Have you commanded them today to fight for you?
The Lord recently has spoken to me, and said, “Where my angels are, there is my presence.” He said angels must fight the powers of darkness, man cannot defeat such powers, angels will rescue you from all evil.
Never ask an angel for help ,never pray to them, never seek to converse with them, unless they speak to you a message that has been given to them by our Lord. Angels are servants of God and His children. God has provided strength for us by these angelic beings.
When Christ was on this earth in His human form He needed strength, just like we do today, and God sent one of His angels to strengthen Him. So that He could obtain salvation for us.
When you need strength, then command angels to bring you strength from your heavenly Father, in fact you can command angels to bring anything that you have asked your Father for. For example, health, wealth, deliverance, peace, etc.
Now, some people are very confused about pictures or statues of angels, thinking that it is forbidden in the Bible to look upon such things, but in fact what the Bible says is that we must not bow down and worship images. For these visual aids actually help us to see that there is more to this world than the physical realm.
Bible tells us that our warfare is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers. So, we must use the angelic powers from God, to deal with these unseen powers by commanding angels.

I hope that you use these spiritual warfare secrets that the Lord has shown me. Once you begin to enter this realm of believing there is no going back, you must send angels out every day, to fight the evil spirits of infirmities, which is sickness and disease, the spirit of uncleanliness, which is the evil lusts, in mind and deed.
The spirit of poverty, which are evil attacks on your finances, and anything else that you could possibly think of where you need help.
Most important of all, every day we must repent, and live in the victory, that Christ Jesus has saved us.

  2. Thanks for the link Rigg. It is actually Without Politicians.

You are right that we cannot let the world get in the way of us and the Lord. It certainly is easy to since the world is increasingly becoming hostile to morality and Christianity. I like the previous comment. It puts things into perspective. We as mere humans cannot eradicate evil, so even try. This is question I have been wrestling with lately.

  3. evangelistbillybolitho & peak9,

    Thanks for your comments.
Yes we must ask for God’s help, but we cannot stand idly by.

Gods asks us to be diligent and resist evil.
If we do not resist evil then who will.

This gives me and Idea for my next post,

    God bless

  4. You’re welcome. keep the angels fighting they have got more power. we’ ll keep repenting in jesus name.

  5. I have to say something here.

“The Lord said to me, “ that one of His angels has enough power to deal with all my troubles,” and yet He assures me that He has multitudes ready to swing into action on our behalf, when we give the command for them to fight. Have you commanded them today to fight for you?
The Lord recently has spoken to me, and said, “Where my angels are, there is my presence.” He said angels must fight the powers of darkness, man cannot defeat such powers, angels will rescue you from all evil.”

I am skeptical of personal revelations like this.
Where is it found in scripture that one of his angels has power to deal with all my troubles? I have not read that.

God is I AM, that means he is eveything we need at that given time. I AM your peace, I AM your defender, I AM your satisfaction I AM the answer to deal with all your problems.

Also, “The Lord recently has spoken to me, and said, “Where my angels are, there is my presence.”

The word of God says, ” For where two or three are gathered in MY NAME, I am in their midst” Mathew 18:20
These are humans with the Spirit of God, not angels. The foucus needs to be on Christ. If God wanted us to intercat with angels we would be able to see them.

I think the reason why a couple of you guys are so greived over the hearts of people is because of the specific spiritual gift(s) God has given you. I am thinking the gift of prophecy ( I am not talking about these modern day prophets who mishandle truth) but people who have a passion for the clear, written Word of God and want to see this taught/preached and manifested in individuals.

  6. You know, faith without actions is dead.

Without faith it is impossible to please God.

God bless you Selena, only trying to encourage you all. Billy
    written enongh for now.

  7. You know, faith without actions is dead.

Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Right, these are scriptural, and the object of our faith should always be in Jesus who is God, not His created beings.

Encouragement is nice and all, I’m just saying…

  8. Selena thanks for your comments.

I too am a little leery of focusing on angles as well. I let God lead the angles. I focus on Jesus.

My hope is in Christ. Toward Christ is where my prayers go. Angles are written of in the Bible, God uses Angles no doubt but we are merely Christians who need Christ as our hope and power.

As well I alway stand back a little when someone says, “The Lord recently has spoken to me”. If they can clarify how this is biblical or if they are saying that through Bible study, prayer and life experiences I understand what God wants me to do, then there may be some substance to it, but a divine revelation given to one person is suspect.

    evangelistbilllybolitho,

Thanks for your comments as well. I am thinking that if you keep posting here we will understand your thoughts better.

My point was that I have to be careful not to let my flesh get caught up in the Presidential Election.
My new post explains this. My focus should always be on pleasing the Lord and bringing glory to Him.
Resisting Obama is the best political way I can do that in this election cycle.

More of him and less of me. I aim to make God famous in my daily walk. The election stuff is one aspect of my daily life.

    Thanks for your comments,
    God Bless
