What I am talking about is a strategic alliance between Christians and Hillary supporters
It may seem awkward at first, but if we unite we can defeat Obama. If we can put down our differences for a few months and unite in our common cause to defeat Obama and his far left liberal ways then we can at least keep our country safe for the next 4 years. I have been dialogging with some strong Hillary supporter blogs for a few weeks now. Sometimes it got a little confrontational, but now that she is probably not going to be the nominee I think it is time to join hands and defeat Obama.
One Hillary Support Wrote This Comment Back to Me:
2009 reply on June 11, 2008:
I am not against Faith. I just don’t want it legislated and turned into a Theocratic Mandate. But for this election we have to join forces, whether we like it or not.
Do you think this would work in Conservative areas, to generate big voter registration?
We need to team up, get smart, and beat them at their own game. There are WAY MORE PEOPLE THAT LOVE THIS COUNTRY THEN HATE IT! Reach those people – make them see the threat these trolls and their Cavewight are – and we kick their ass at their own tricks.
One Idea that we have been discussing is to increase voter turn out:
2009 reply on June 11, 2008:
Get organized NEAR churches and businesses or events that involve the Faith Values voters. Pitch a Faith Tent near the sites, with Obama and McCain facts – with videos showing what is going to happen – pass out literature on Obama’s connections and his policies – get the people to forward the message that God is under attack by a fraud like Barack Obama.
I answered with this:
It would work to have these booths manned with at least one true Christian to a booth. If we can show solidarity in working together in the booth then others may follow suit.
Also, if you want to get this message across you can leavecomments at my blog and others. I have a lot of Christians who read and contribute. We really aren’t such a bad lot. Most of us are a lot more likable than the ones that make the news.
2009 reply on June 11, 2008:
We absolutely need True Christians in the Tents too. I do feel it imperative to stay focused, not divert to evangelizing, but to profess the faith and the need to protect it is right on target.
Now I am asking any Christian readers to comment on this strategic Alliance:
If we can defeat Obama and at the same time be a shining light for Christ wouldn’t that outweigh our reluctance to join with the Hillary supporters. This is a new concept and we are on the ground floor with the plan. These people are serious, organized and have money; They desperately want to defeat Obama. Besides it might do them some good to dialog with true believers, if we do it civilly.
I truly believe that if our side doesn’t run to the polls with vigor and gusto we may end up with an Ahab and Jezebel President and first Lady. We need to stand for the unborn, we need to stand for the military, we need to stand for American, we need to stand for Christ. We also need to use our brains and our new alliance to defeat this Guy Obama.
I encourage you to leave a message and let me know what you think,
then I can follow through with the plan and with defeating Obama.
“All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing”
This is interesting. If Hillary supporters back McCain and his supporters, namely the GOP, Obama will fail miserably in November. I see the total embarrassment of Obama and the media in November being a motivator for Hillary supporters to support John McCain.
If this motivation sticks until November, Obama has no chance.

The Hillary supporters
are mad and motivated.
If we are equally motivated it could
work out for all of us and America.
Keep checking and updating.
I have Hillary supporters who are listening to
our thoughts on this. They want to know if it
can work then we are off to the races.

Rigg, this is one of the most important tasks for voter interest, enthusiasm, and registration. Although I am not religious, I have great respect for those who are and I will be following the progress here.
It is important to me that McCain and Hillary are equally presented as Americans who love their country. There might be some hard feelings from those Christians who support McCain if Hillary emerges the victor at the Convention and Hillary supporters all of a sudden abandon McCain. This moment if it happens will be tricky, and I think we need to be truthful and considerate.

thoughtfulvetting,
You are so right about the importance of keeping
Obama out of his Presidential Thrown.
The fight to at least keep this country on a free market system with democratic freedoms is at stake.
The fight to keep our role as leader of the free world is at stake,
The fight to keep our own individual freedoms including our inalienable rights of life Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness is up for grabs in this election.
We need to make a stand for America and American excellence. Not give in and let America fall to second and third class status due to holding back our military, our energy, our ability to grow wealth, our freedom to create new jobs and opportunities.
WE MUST STAND

I have no problem as a christian, joining forces with Ms. Clinton to defeat Obama. He needs to be defeated to protect this country that we love so much.
That’s my quick 2 cents!
Blessings to you and to all!

Thanks Timglass,
Stay tuned for more updates. I have been tracking some Against Obama blogs and they are serious about defeating this guy. I also believe that God can use these situations for non-believers to learn more about us and understand who we really are.
It gives us a chance to show God’s light to the world. But, in this case we have to not evangelize. His light will shine through. We need to stand together to defeat Obama first.
God Bless,

The problem I see is that “Christian” is a term that means different things to different people. Because I am a Catholic, many people do not consider me a Christian. Clinton, who is a Methodist, was labeled a “fundamentalist” by people who clearly don’t know the difference. Obama calls himself a Christian and rumors have it that he is planning some Christian event for the convention. Ronald Reagan was no Christian in any evangelical sense; the guy barely went to church and had no interest in it. Many Protestant and Catholic Christians loved him as president.
I am all for uniting against Obama, but it ought to be on the grounds that he is not civilly fit to be president. There is no religious test in this country for political office (except what we self-impose) because the founders rejected what was being done in England.

By: Selena on June 13, 2008

huntingdon,
Thanks for making this an ongoing discussion.
You are so right that there are many types of Christians with many different convictions and denominations.
My thought in creating this post was to find a common link between two usually opposing forces. The subcategory of Christian I am trying to reach with this idea would be the Christians who believe that the Bible is the true word of God and that it is divinely written. The Christian I am speaking to is the Christian who would not vote for Hillary or Obama on deep rooted core convictions that come from their belief in the literal translation of the word of God.
This is a call to the Christians who would never vote for Hillary but at the same time will work really hard to prevent Obama from entering into the role of Commander in Chief.
What I am asking is, “If you have a strong spiritual conviction against Hillary can you still join forces and battle together to defeat the common enemy.
So, do you think that the large contingent of conservative Christian voters will work side by side with the disenfranchised Hillary supporters who are endorsing McCain.
On Reagan,
You might wan to further investigate Reagan’s beliefs. I’ll post some links about Reagan’s faith. You can read one of Michael Reagan’s books about his dad. You could also check out his website and find and archive of his radio show. I have heard many beautiful messages about Ronald Reagan’s faith on Michael Reagan’s show. Probably this week with Father’s day here. You could learn more at:
http://www.heritage.org/Research/PoliticalPhilosophy/hl832.cfm
And here is a little post about Reagan’s faith,
At: http://www.bpnews.net/bpnews.asp?ID=18461
Posted on Jun 14, 2004 | by Staff
WASHINGTON (BP)–Ronald Reagan’s faith formed the core of his beliefs and enabled him to confront death twice with courage, friends and family members said during funeral services for the former president June 11.
“When he closed his eyes, that’s when I realized the gift that he gave to me — the gift that he was going to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” Reagan’s son, Michael Reagan, said during funeral services at the presidential library in Simi Valley, Calif.
Reagan’s son recounted that on a flight from Washington to California in 1988, his father told him “about his love of God, his love of Christ as his Savior.”
“I did not know then what it all meant, but I certainly, certainly know now,” Michael Reagan said. “I can’t think of a better gift for a father to give a son, and I hope to honor my father by giving my son Cameron and my daughter Ashley that very same gift he gave to me.”
A professing Christian, Michael Reagan said that when he dies, he and his father and his sister Maureen — who died in 2001 of melanoma — would “dance” together.
“Dad, when I go, I will go to heaven, too,” he said. “And you and I and my sister Maureen that went before us, we will dance with the heavenly host of angels before the presence of God. We will do it melanoma- and Alzheimer’s-free.”
Michael Wenning, retired pastor at Bel Air Presbyterian Church in California, served as the Reagans’ minister and spoke at the service.
“I believe that last Saturday [June 5], he began a new journey into the glorious presence of Almighty God, and he is basking in the sunshine of His love,” Wenning said. “And I believe he is touching the face of God — as he said during the Challenger disaster. And the Lord is saying to him, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant.’”
The service in California capped a day of memorials to Reagan, the nation’s 40th president who died from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. In Washington earlier in the day, President Bush said that faith enabled Reagan to confront death twice “with courage and grace.”
Delivering the eulogy, Bush recalled how Reagan responded to the assassination attempt on his life shortly after he took office in 1981 and to the onset of Alzheimer’s disease in 1994. “In both these trials, he showed how a man so enchanted by life can be at peace with life’s end,” Bush said.
“And where does that strength come from? Where is that courage learned?” Bush asked. “It is the faith of a boy who read the Bible with his mom. It is the faith of a man lying in an operating room who prayed for the one who shot him before he prayed for himself. It is the faith of a man with a fearful illness who waited on the Lord to call him home.

Just some thoughts,
You can investigate and gain your own knowledge and wisdom about Reagan’s faith….or not.

Selena,
This is a great question. I fear that we have pushed the pendulum dangerously too far to the left to return to anything resembling the middle.
This means that the center has and will continue to move left. Leaving the right for people like John McCain and….I won’t mention more now.
If McCain is the Right and Obama is the left, then Hillary is the center. If Hillary is the center that proves my point about the country being on a left swing that may not return.
With all of the power that the new left of center is amassing i.e. House, Senate,…President, we are in for a long hall. The last time the Dems owned the house it took the Repubs 35 years to get it back.
We’ve also given them the Senate and possible the White House. They will use that power to gain more power and stay in power.
It is hard for me to see a day when America will elect a truly conservative President who is also a Christian. I think Bush is the last closest (notice I said “closest”) thing to that category that we will see perhaps until the second coming.
This may sound bleak but we know where our strength comes from. David lived through Saul, Danial lived through King Darius.
We must have faith in God that he will stay with us through the things that will come.
Remeber, “This is the day the Lord Hath made,
we shall be glad and rejoice in it.”
The stone which the builders refused
is become the head stone of the corner.
This is the LORD’s doing;
it is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day which the LORD hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD:
O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD. God is the LORD, which hath showed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords,
even unto the horns of the altar.
Thou art my God, and I will praise thee:
thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever. (Psalm 118 22-29)

Selena,
Sorry about that, I should have caught it.
I have been so focused on election stuff today.
Have I been long winded today or what?
Anyway,
I think I used a similar thought in one of my comments to another blog.
He definitely does things, thinks things, and would put in policies that are against Christ.
I don’t really think he is “The Antichrist” but he definitely is anti-Christ in word and deed. So, he may be an anti-Christ or anti-Christ like.
The only problem with saying that is that our Hillary friends will take that seriously and then they will right us off as fanatics.
I know what you mean and you know what I mean but they are looking from a secular worldly viewpoint. We must understand and be patient until Obama is defeated.
I wonder what timglass has to say about Obama and anti-Christ like behaviors.
Give us the scoop timglass,

Christians have worked with non-Christians in the past in attempting to get preferred candidates elected.
It should be no big deal to do so once again.
Quite obviously the “preferred candidate” in 2008 is NOT B.HusseinObomination.
And thus Christians should once again work even with non-Christians to elect the only electorally viable alternative (John McCain).

Well, History has made stranger bedfellows, and I sometimes think that the purported animosity between Evangelical Christians and people of other faiths is more hype than reality.
This election cycle has revealed a potential candidate (Barack Hussein Obama) that poses more of a danger to our great country than we know. The politics of recent years has been driven by a divisiveness that our founding fathers warned us about (United we stand – divided we fail)
We cannot afford to become divided. WE can join forces and fight to save the freedoms our Constitution affords us.
If we can overlook our differences and focus on restoring dignity our country, we will be able to heal the other rifts that politics has created.

This is so personal for me. I am the wife of a New York City Police Officer. My Jr. Senator is Senator Clinton. I, first hand, witnessed the falling of the Twin Towers. I also knew the first responders that tried their best to rescue and then recover the bodies of their fallen “FRIENDS”. I witnessed dozens of funerals here in New York for our HERO’S.
I am so frustrated at what I see happening because of Sen. Obama and his campaign. On Sept. 11th, there was no thought about race, religion, party, there was only thought of America and hundreds of American’s put their lives at risk for other Americans. That is the America I believed in and love. Black, White and Hispanic , all the colors of the rainbow of America, came together that day and the weeks to follow and supported each other. There was no question of Race or Party, there was a unity and a feeling in the air that made us all whole.
Today I watch as a party I loved and was proud of tear us apart. It insults who we are, manipulates our elections and I’m so angry!! at Howard Dean, , and all these political opportunists, that are willing to “override the will of the people” for their own agenda. May the souls of all those fireman, police and civilians rise up, and haunt them for the rest of their lives.
Thank you for letting me vent my anger.

Obama is the most divisive candidate we have ever had. I hope you do not give up.

He will at least defend our great country.

Obama is the most divisive candidate ever. He is tearing FDR’s party apart. I am unaffiliated now as are many people I know. So I certainly understand wanting to unite around something other than Obama. My problem with McCain is that he stands for things I can’t support. He applauded Scalia’s dissent in the habeas corpus case, for example. There is no doubt in my mind that I could live through a McCain presidency with a Democratic congress without many qualms, but I can’t vote FOR him. If he wins, I won’t find it as appalling as GWB’s being named president in 2000 by the S.Ct.
This country needs to think seriously about a third party that can vie with the other two. In the past this has occurred. The Democratic Party is the Obamacrat Party now.

There are a lot of people on the Hillary bandwagon,
Who want her to start a Third party.
I am fine with that, then McCain will have a better chance.
Some day we may have a legitimate third party,
but not this year.

What do you think about Hillary being that Third party?
By: Rigg on June 16, 2008

As a contributing writer at Savage Politics, Id like to dispel the rumor that Savage Politics is
A) A community of former Hillary supporters
B) Is focused on Hillary running as an Independent
and
C) Represents the strategy you present that if Hillary runs as a third party candidate, this will benefit McCain and the Republican party.
This comment is meant in the most respectful way, and in no means should be considered adversarial. But I feel compelled to clear up something that sounds misleading to me.
In another post, you mention that “Hillary supporters need to fight for us.”
I would like to say that as someone who supported Hillary Clinton because of policies, not partisanship (I’ve always been registered as Independent, and vote for the person I think would do the best job). I thought McCain was the second best choice, and Barrack Hussein Obama the least qualified.
With the DNC sandbagging Hillary Clinton, many who feel similarly to myself (and that means millions of people) will vote for the candidate they think is most qualified, which happens to be John McCain
So please don’t continue assuming we are here to do anyone’s dirty work. We will fight with you, if you feel similarly to us. We are not fighting in anyone’s stead. Everyone should be expected to pull their own weight. As a Republican, this should appeal to you.

Anthony,
Thanks for your comment and making clear what is going on at Savage Politics. I just recently started reading and commenting there. You do have a lot of people commenting who were Hillary supporters.
I guess I assumed a lot by reading the comments I have been reading at Savage Politics. I am writing these posts sometimes as a response to the comments. That is my mistake, sorry about that.
As for being a Republican, by your definition of independent I would fit that category as well.
My Christian beliefs ore my foundation. Christ is my party leader. I vote for the person who best represents my beliefs as well.
Recently it has been mostly Republicans who are closest to my core beliefs. So, I think that puts us in the same category.
From now on I will only respond to the commentators at Savage Politics when making my own comments on my blog. I’ll have to be careful of who’s comments I am commenting on.
I was speaking as someone who thinks that McCain will go easy on Obama. Somebody has to bring this guy out in the open. We can all do it together.
I will say that Savage Politics has great information concerning this year’s election.
Finally, I agree that we must fight together.
Thanks again for your comments.

Rigg, I hope you weren’t offended by my (apparently not so) carefully worded post. I apologize for any miscommunication.
What I objected to was your earlier statement that “we need Hillary supporters to do our dirty work”.
I simply wanted to encourage ALL of us to do the work we see necessary, without relying on someone else’s mucsle so others are not seen championing their own views publicly. I think if there is a valid common good (and I believe there is here), we should all be unashamed to speak out and take action.
True, a lot of SAVAGE posters will mention Hillary Clinton, but the most egregious actions by the DNC had to do with Sen. Clinton being sandbagged by her own party. If the same thing happened to Obama, I bet we’d sound like Obama supporters. And if it happened to McCain, and earlier, Huckabee or Romney, believe me, we’d all be as outspoken. We are about true Democracy rather than a partisan commitment.
The quarrel we at SAVAGE are having is with the DNC and the MSM. The fact that Sen. Clinton has been the most recent victim of sleazy political manipulation (rampant on BOTH sides of the aisle) makes her the focus at this time. As you can see, the dialogue at SAVAGE has turned from defending Hillary Clinton to dismantling the back room Chicago style tactics of the DNC.
I certainly hope you’ll feel free to comment both at SAVAGE and repeat what you feel is pertinent here, but those of us who truly do support your efforts will be quick to point out discrepancies and try to correct what appears to be inaccurate characterizations. I enjoy much of the food for thought you post, and hope my comments have not made you shy.

I see in other blogs that Obama is going after the evangelical Christian vote and even plans a religious theme for the convention. God help us. I mean that in the most sincere way, too.
Most Democrats are in fact Christian. Some are Jews, Muslims, etc. but the fact is most Americans, of whatever political persuasion, are believers in the Judeo-Christian tradition. I believe in a separation of church and state, but I don’t see any problem with having my sense of values, formed from my religion, be part of the equation when I decide whom to vote for. Obama scares the pants off me. He is totalitarian. Not that he intends to mass murder anyone, but he wants complete control, adulation and obedience.
He is not getting it from me. I won’t goosestep for anyone.

Obama’s view of Christianity seems to be like so many others in America. For some Christianity is sort of like the Masons or a political party.
For some who actually go to church their expericance is like the Elks Club without the alcohol.
I am afraid that non-believers will never understand what it means to have a personal relationship with God and to give your life over to Christ until they actually give their lives to Christ.
It transcends culture, politics, and even the judeo-Christian work ethic. I am a strong proponent of that work ethic, but I have a deeper relationship with God than is exposed in a philosophy or political system.
Unfortunately, Obama will appeal to some who call themselves Christians. Only God can know their heart. I for one cannot understand any one who calls themselves a Christian supporting a man who supports abortion the way Obama does.
Thanks for your comment,
God Bless

Hi all: My name is Ed Hale. I am the founder of the web site, Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain. We are a non profit cooperation and a “527″ that will fight with our last breath for John McCain. Our primary goal is to get Sen. Clinton the nominee of the Demcartic party. The reason for that is simple, America would have a choice between 2 good and decent Americans. I would be proud to call either of them, my president. We are going to place a ad in the Chicago Sun-Times against Obama. We are rasing fund for this now. The cost would be about $18,000 and we have rasie over $10,000 as of now. Please come and join us. If the leader of this group would like to sit on our board of Directors, we would welcome that. The board will make all decision on where to place the ads and what kind. join us today at http://www.hcsfjm.com. thanks – looking forward to seen you there. Ed Hale

I’ve enjoyed reading the comments here – very thoughtful and positive. I’m a McCain supporter and have found that I have common cause with a number of Clinton folks in that we both stand for American values and the security of our country. Without that security our faith (whatever our particular religion or denomination) is in danger.

Your site is what we need to keep this country in the Hands of people who love our history, our heritage, our common ideals, and our defense from our enemies.
Keep up the good work.
Kit,
Thanks for your return visits. I am glad you like what goes on here. I want to keep our thoughts and comments on a high level. Good honest input and debate are what I am striving for. Senseless name calling isn’t called for, although I do like a good sarcastic joke or two. I hope we can walk that fine line without being too nasty to Obama supporters.
You are right, the security of our country comes first, and who is the Commander in Chief other than the President. We must make sure it is not a guy who wants to talk to our enemies like some sort of Dr. Dolittle. Ooops, I think I just called Obama Dr. Doolittle, in good clean fun of course.

I can say there are MILLIONS of Hillary SUpporters who are backing John McCain. My worry right now is that the GOP Conservatives won’t. What we all know and what people have to understand is that the number one goal of this election has to be NO_OBAMA. This man will destroy our country. I really would like to know if anyone knows of Conservative blogs where we could go. Also, over at http://www.hcsfjm.com they are trying to buy a full page ad in the Chicago Sun Times. They are over halfway there..Someone has said they will match each donation up to $5000 if donation come in now. What they are going to say on the ad is on the site. This is a message being sent to the DNC and Obama. We all need to contribute, I already have, because we need a united front and can get more done if we work toget. The site has started a PAC to work against Obama, they are asking people to join. I think your ideas here are good ones. Especially since Hillary Supporters on trusting McCain on Roe v Wade, I think the GOP people need to trust him to. This is not about party loyalty now, it is about putting COUNTRYT FIRST

USAPROUD,
Thanks for your comment.
I’ve always said that the election will swing on getting the republican regulars out to vote.
Bush and Carl Rove were able to achieve the highest numbers of any Presidential election because they knew how to move the conservative base and the Republican regulars.
If they are not inspired to motivation then McCain is sunk and so is America.
We cannot win on just the people that are against Obama. We need people who are for McCain.
God Bless

The DNC, Pelosi, and the Obama’s patronizing and phony
praise of Hillary Clinton are nothing more than insincere steps
to get some of Hillary’s 18 million voters to vote for Barrack.
These people are so pitiful. maybe some of Hillary’s supporters
will fall for it, but most of us see it as adding insult to injury,
and we are voting for Senator John McCain in November.

Thanks for your comment Gina,
Your right,
The Obama people are desperate. They have all of that money and can’t win over the true thinking Hillary voter.
Thanks again.

EXPOSE OBAMA”S concept of Jesus
Now I am Chrystal Clear Obama’s Religion.
We’ve been asking the wrong question is Barrack a Muslim or a Christian it is both at the same time.
BLENDING; MARXISM INTO LIBERATION THEOLOGY AND INTO BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY AND THE NATION OF ISLAM INTO ONE AND THE SAME IN CHICAGO ” ALL IS ONE AND ONE IS ALL”
you can see how it has been blended into one here in these two of Farrakhan speaking one is at Pfleger’s Catholic Church and the other you just have to see to believe Obama’s concept of Jesus.
Farrakhan represents Jesus clip

Farrakhan speaking at Pfleger’s Catholic Church
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmJoU-Nnntc&feature=related
Those clips both shed light and a full understanding of Obama’s religion. So now I understand when Obama says he is a committed Christian I know what he means and I also know now that Louis Farrakhan is also a Christian and Jesus and Elijah and a good loving Muslim.

George,
Interesting videos.
I may not go as far as you in defining Obama’s spiritual beliefs.
But, I think it is become more apparent that he is a man who changes his convictions to enhance his political success.
He has recently decided that now Gay marriage is acceptable for a Christian to support.
In the past he has always stated that he is against Gay Marriage.
He has no foundation in his “Christian” beliefs. He left his church of 20 years for political purposes.
He denounced his pastor of 20 years for political purposes.
His form of Christianity is weak, watered down, and secular based. All is one and all is ok with Obama as long as he gains more power.

I have always found that when one thinks so highly of themselves, others seem to throw them off their pedestal…Hence Obama has an ego so enhanced by his own self grander that he will continue to show people that the only person he cares about is himself. Michelle Obama says her husband is the only one that can be president, we must show her different

Obama is set up for a fall.
I only hope it happens before the election.
It will be dangerous for America if he falls while in the White House as Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces of America.
Can you imagine our enemies joy at watching Obama fall while in office. Can you imagine our citizenry angry at the weakest president ever and then our enemies showing up in force.
God help America.

Obama makes me sick. He is on his magical mystery tour trying to make crowds swoon but no time for our wounded soldiers. Maybe when he gets to France he will say the only french phrase that americans know – merci beaucoup and stop to eat some french fries with them. In his Germany speech today he said Americans shouldn’t be wealthier than other countries – maybe someone should tell him communism doesn’t work.
BOYCOTT OPRAH, IN TOUCH MAGAZINE, ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE, NY TIMES and ALL OF THEIR ADVERTISERS WHO ARE IN THE TANK FOR OBAMA.

Lisa thanks for your addition to the conversation.
I hope you visit more often.
Where did you find this blog; I am always curious.
By the way I stopped buy liberal agenda magazines a long time ago. Most of the ones I do read would not appeal to Obama or people who think like he does. I am not a visionary who “imagines no Countries”
I am not a supporter of World Citizens, unless they all want to be Americans…there’s a thought.
Hello Lottie,
How have you been? Nice to hear from you.

I’m fine, thanks. A bit put off by sweeping generalizations that border on bigotry (many, many Americans speak fluent French and the whole french fry thing is just juvenile, not to mention old) but I’m used to it on the internet and won’t lose any sleep, I’m sure.
Don’t mean to be rude to your other guests, Rigg. That kind of thing just grates…

Thanks for your comment Lottie,
I wasn’t quite sure what you meant by, “What that was lovely” but now I know. Lisa is kinda new here, I think this is her first comment. We’ll see where it leads. Personally I have never been big on boycotts any way. But the wounded solder thing is real and puts off many Americans to Obama.
Bigotry, you’ll have to explain that one to me as well, I guess I am a little dunce here.
Yes, cheap shots are sometimes unbecoming and I guess what you are talking about is people who don’t buy into the Obama hype.
But, if you trace back through Obama’s many cheap shots, and some not so cheap shots, at Americans you may be able to understand the disdain many have for this political candidate and his rhetoric.
He chides us for not speaking Spanish, but he doesn’t seem to have many foreign languages under his belt. By the way my wife is Japanese and she didn’t take kindly to him singling out Spanish. Japanese is a perfectly fine language to learn, although I find I have not been as successful at learning it as I have been at learning Spanish. My daughter speaks pretty good French and my son-in-law has no problem speaking Italian when they go to Italy. The point is like you said many of us know a second language, but when Obama feels the need he jabs us with his cheap shot put down.
He chides us for clinging to guns and God, yet every time he gets a chance he reminds us what a strong Christian he is, then he makes sure that he gets a photo of himself in a lent Kippah at the Holocaust Museum of Yad Vashemm just after being protected by the well known terrorist group Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, during his visit to Palestine
If I remember you kinda like the guy so I’ll stop with the run down of Obama’s bigoted remarks. I am just trying to help you understand why so many Americans are getting a short fuse with Obama. He really comes across to many Americans as looking down his nose at us and shacking his finger saying “Tut Tut, you’d better shape up soon, because when I rule the world you are going to be in for it.”
Lottie, I am sorry that some of the comments here rub you the wrong way; I like hearing your comments. I think politics in American tends to do that to people. After the election we can go back to debating trivial things like Christian Theology and “End Times” beliefs. Boy you want to talk about a heated debate, get into that one sometime.
God bless and thanks again for speaking your mind,
riggword.

Hi again, Rigg!
I only have a minute…
That was a typo. I meant to say “Well, that was lovely.” But that’s no biggie… lol
I don’t care about the comments against Obama. What I see as bordering on bigotry (and perhaps even crossing that border) is what seems to me an apparent hatred of the French. Assuming that American’s don’t know their language is just ignorant, but the french fry comment stems from the days of “boycott all that is French” when a lot of Americans thought we should start calling french fries “freedom fries”. I think it’s absurd and that it represents intolerance and hatred of anything that’s not 100% American (if such a thing even exists) or anyone who doesn’t jump on every American bandwagon. That smells like bigotry to me.
I’ll have to get back to you with more later. I’m late for work already. Good thing I work from home and only have to walk into the next room. Haha…
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. It’s always nice chatting with you.
[No problem, I like oyour comments and I think that the dialog on this blog is productive and well worth the effort by you all. Keep it up! Hey, did you hear Obama's French Fries comment today after meeting with French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Speaking of getting going, I'm leaving town for the woods for the weekend, gatta run. thanks again for your comments.

Oh… and don’t worry about other people’s comments rubbing me wrong. It’s not your doing. And it’s not even a bad thing. It’s part of the territory in open discourse, I think. And I favor open discourse.
I owe. I owe. So of to work I go.

And sorry for the multiple comments.
I’m really going this time.

Thanks 85Yota,
Someone a long time ago said that I have a lot of patience. I just think that I am diabolical and have a strategic view of life and how to win others over.
My relationship with Jesus is helping me to be not so Diabolical. I am learning to look at people from a Godly perspective.
thanks for your comments

Diabolical or patient, either one, I’m impressed. And I’m especially thinking back to the song you posted (during the Puerto Rican Primaries). You took much heat from several people that day and yet completely kept your cool and remained reasonable and genuine. Not to mention your tact during abortion debates. Impressive. Did you see that??? I just tipped my hat to you. (insert grin)

Awesome,
Thank you very much 85Yota,
I have received some interesting responses to “Obama” Narcissistic” and the “Inflate your tires” posts. Some I did not publish due to too many expletives.
Its all about attitude and realizing that people with that much anger to vent are hurting inside.
I pray for them.
God Bless
