Obama, June 4th and Other Thoughts for The Weekend:

So what are Hillary Supporters going to do?

June 4th is coming like the Grim Reaper:

From the Fredman Blog.

June 4th: The Day Barack Obama Becomes Democratic Party Nominee:

Posted on May 6, 2008

Prediction: The last primary is June 3rd. A well placed, high ranking Democratic Party official tells me that on June 4th, it is likely that enough uncommitted superdelegates will make up their minds on whether to back Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton and the bet is, the official said, Obama will get the official nod. Savage Politics Voices the Opinions of Many Hillary Supporters:

(Warning Some Profanity at this site)

From Savage Politics May 14th Posting:

As a matter of fact, there is a movement already starting to build up, in which a large number of Democrats are planning a switch their affiliation/registration within their local jurisdictions from “Democrat” to “Independent” throughout the week of June: 1st through the 8th. If you were wondering how to make the Democratic leadership listen, this is your chance to make a dramatic point.

Daily Kos has a different plan:

Why this must be over June 4th…

Then join in hands, brave Americans all! By uniting we stand, dividing we fall.

Truth be told, this nomination process should have been over March 5th. Without the media and Rush Limbaugh’s Operation Chaos in full destroy Obama mode, he should have won and locked up this nomination by then, I firmly believe that. However, we are where we are and need to look at the calendar.

I wonder what Hillary supporters such as Savage Politics think

about the Kos manifesto?

Possibly a Convention Take Over?

Here’s what Michelle Malkin has to say:

Recreate ‘68 threatens Democrat convention in Denver

By Michelle Malkin • March 21, 2008 09:46 AM

“When things blow up because the police have to enforce a permit that the Democrats got, don’t blame us for that.”

Remember that quote. Protest organizers from “Recreate ‘68″ are throwing a tantrum over the Democrat Party’s permit process. Will they ignore it as an idle threat? Or, keeping in mind the history of left-wing violence against law enforcement, will they take the nutballs seriously for once? Via the ,p Rocky Mountain News (hat tip – reader Katharine):

It is amazing when one looks back at all the snafus, coincidences, stupidities, and conspiracies that have occurred to keep a “centrist” out of power in this country. In my dark moments I think, well, if we had a representative democracy, we would have had centrists in power for most of the last century.

Will we make it this time? I hope Hillary stares them right in the eyes and says on to Denver. We in this household have never been activists in a political way, but this year we might be marching on the Dem Convention.

Better Than EzraNo Gravatar reply on May 30, 2008:

I already switched from Dem to Independent and I will fight tooth and nail to see this fraud fall and the political environment restored from the lies, corruption and outright anti-American ideology.

This is coming from a former Obama “disciple” several months ago! I have seen the light and the light has pierced through the darkness of the “Audacity of Deception”!

Another thought for the Weekend:

What about this Guy, Rev. Michael Pfleger? (warning racist hate speech)

Have you heard his recent sermon at Obama’s Church?

From Michell Malkin:

He’s baaaack: Obama supporter Rev. Michael Pfleger flogs Hillary’s

“white entitlement” on the pulpit

By Michelle Malkin • May 29, 2008 11:48 AM
I’ve reported before on Obama supporter/spiritual advisor/Jeremiah Wright chum/Farrakhan cheerleader Rev. Michael Pfleger and his racial demagoguery (see March 29 and April 30). (more)

And this news about Tony Rezko:
Thursday, May 29, 2008
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 8:26 PM Obama’s friend, neighbor, mentor and financier Tony Rezko waits for the jury to come back in Chicago, and while he does, more bad news arrives from Las Vegas:

A Las Vegas judge has issued a felony arrest warrant for a politically connected Chicago businessman whose ties to Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama have become an issue in the campaign.

Antoin “Tony” Rezko, who is standing trial on federal corruption charges in Chicago, is wanted in Las Vegas for failing to pay $472,275 in gambling debts to Caesars Palace and Bally’s and related processing fees to the Clark County district attorney’s office.

The total unpaid Strip bill comes to more than $800,000, however, because the Bellagio obtained a judgment of default against Rezko a year ago for not repaying $331,000 in gambling markers.

A federal jury has been deliberating Rezko’s fate the past two weeks following two months of testimony in a corruption trial linked to the administration of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. (Hugh Hewitt)

Last but not least thought for the Weekend:

As Christians our reality is not bogged down, or blogged down for that matter, in these worldly things. For us we should be always aware of our indebtedness to Christ. We should be diligently seeking him and not our own pleasures and whims of this world…including political whims and fancies. That is not to say that we should not be politically active, but that we keep our focus on the Lord and our relationship to him through redemption.

Oswald Chambers says it well with this passage from My Utmost for His Highest:

Separated unto the Gospel.” Romans 1:1

Our calling is not primarily to be holy men and women, but to be proclaimers of the Gospel of God. The one thing that is all important is that the Gospel of God should be realized as the abiding Reality. Reality is not human goodness, nor holiness, nor heaven, nor hell; but Redemption; and the need to perceive this is the most vital need of the Christian worker to-day. As workers we have to get used to the revelation that Redemption is the only Reality. Personal holiness is an effect, not a cause, and if we place our faith in human goodness, in the effect of Redemption, we shall go under when the test comes.

Paul did not say he separated himself, but – “when it pleased God who separated me. . .” Paul had not a hypersensitive interest in his own character. As long as our eyes are upon our own personal whiteness we shall never get near the reality of Redemption. Workers break down because their desire is for their own whiteness, and not for God. “Don’t ask me to come into contact with the rugged reality of Redemption on behalf of the filth of human life as it is; what I want is anything God can do for me to make me more desirable in my own eyes.” To talk in that way is a sign that the reality of the Gospel of God has not begun to touch me; there is no reckless abandon to God. God cannot deliver me while my interest is merely in my own character. Paul is unconscious of himself, he is recklessly abandoned, separated by God for one purpose – to proclaim the Gospel of God (cf. Rom. 9:3.)

Romans 1:1-6 (King James Version)

King James Version (KJV)Public Domain

Romans 1

1Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 3Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: 5By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: 6. among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ.

God Bless You All,

Have a Glorious Weekend,

  1. Personal holiness is an effect, not a cause, and if we place our faith in human goodness, in the effect of Redemption, we shall go under when the test comes.

    Love that!

  2. I might even look at holiness as a symptom of redemption.

The only reason any of us have even a smattering of holiness is because of God’s grace and Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.

I’m off for a weekend jaunt, Praise God!

    God Bless

  3. What do you think about all the Dems
    Jumping Ship?

Obama’s Cool may be wearing off!

  4. My guess: looks like the Dems are now becoming Indy because they don’t like either of Dem?

  5. It’s a scary thought that a woman could possibly run this country. I don’t think it’s natural. Men are the protectors.

  6. Thanks fro the comment,

    What’s becomming Indy mean?
I like your ideas about leadership.

  7. Indy = independent

Hopefully, the majority of women and White working class voters in this Nation will realize that the Democratic Party DOES NOT have their interests at heart, and they will therefore slowly gravitate towards leaving said collectivity to the more dignified category of INDEPENDENT (or any other).

  8. I am taking some time off from politics to watch the French Open. I need a break from Obama et al. After this week I will be refreshed and ready for action.

  9. Enjoy your rest :-)

  10. Thanks for your comments,

    peak9,

See ya when you get back.

    Selena,
What do you think the Hillary supporters will do if she joins he?
