Michelle Obama, Under the Bus?

The Reverend Jeremiah Wright has now been official Thrown Under the Bus:

Can Michelle be far behind? Yesterday Barack Obama stumbled stuttered and stammered his way through a speech that threw Jeremiah out the door, down the road and under the bus. But if we listen to Michelle Obama’s speeches don’t we here echoes of the gracious reverend? Her voice I have to admit last Friday night sounded much more forceful and determined when she was tearing apart the United States and the American Dream, then Obama’s shaky understated denunciation of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

Michelle is the real deal:

Michelle’s Speech at University of South Carolina in Jan. 2008

You can hear her April 25th speech here.

Obama Says This About Reverend Wright:

Before I start taking questions I want to open it up with a couple of comments about what we saw and heard yesterday. I have spent my entire adult life trying to bridge the gap between different kinds of people. That’s in my DNA, trying to promote mutual understanding to insist that we all share common hopes and common dreams as Americans and as human beings. That’s who I am. That’s what I believe. That’s what this campaign has been about.

Yesterday we saw a very different vision of America. I am outraged by the comments that were made and saddened over the spectacle that we saw yesterday. You know, I have been a member of Trinity United Church of Christ since 1992. I have known Reverend Wright for almost 20 years. The person I saw yesterday was not the person that I met 20 years ago. Will the Day Come When Obama Has this to Say about Michelle?

Before I start taking questions I want to open it up with a couple of comments about what I think about marriage. I have spent my entire adult life married to this woman and trying to bridge the gap between us. That’s in my DNA, trying to remain married was an understanding we had to share in common our hopes and common children as man and wife. That’s who I am. That’s what I believe. That’s what this marrriage has been about.

Yesterday we saw a very different Michelle and her vision of America. I am outraged by her comments, that made me saddened over the prospects of being married to her one more day. You know, I have been married to her since 1992. I have known this woman for almost 20 years. The person I saw Friday night was not the person that I met almost 20 years ago. For the good of my party and the good of my country I denouce my wedding vows and I am ready to Move On. Org….with Hope and Progress. I only hope that you in the press core will give me time to tell my little burdens at home.

As always Michelle Malkin has something to say:

Obama’s “big press conference” on Wright: “I’m outraged by the comments that were made and saddened by the spectacle;” Wright’s remarks “a bunch of rants that aren’t grounded in truth”

By Michelle Malkin • April 29, 2008 01:56 PM

Scroll down for press conference blogging…Allah’s got vid clips here

What, pray tell, could Barack Obama possibly say now to undo the damage of his two decades of bad judgment about Jeremiah Wright?

Will he weigh in on black liberation theology? Wright’s phrenological discourse? How about Wright’s defense of his comparison between the Roman soldiers who killed Jesus and the US Marine Corps?

Inquiring minds want to know.

And Hugh Hewitt has this to say about Michelle’s Speech:

I played all of Pastor Wright’s address and q-and-a from today’s National Press Club speech today, as well as a lengthy interview with major General Rick Lynch, commander of the 3rd Infantry Division in Iraq, so there wasn’t much time for anything except some excerpts from Michelle Obama’s campaign speech on Friday night.

The clips I played generated a lot of angry e-mail. Duane will post the clips here later tonight. Listen for yourself and decide whether Michelle Obama is conducting a campaign of unity and hope, or one of bitterness and anger.

Please note that due to technical issues, there is a thirty second commercial at the front of the audio.

Read about Reverend Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and Obama in this article in National Review Online:

History of Wright and Farrakhan [Stanley Kurtz]

In an earlier post, I showed that Wright’s lauding of Farrakhan as a great figure is old news. Of course, so is the tight relationship between Wright and Farrakhan. It’s been long known that Wright and Farrakhan traveled together to meet with Muammar Gaddafi in 1986. Wright also attended Farrakhan’s Million Man March in 1995, but the story goes even further. Your point is well taken . Barack has a better sense of what you can tell people and what you cannot even if it is true.

Hopefully , he will tell her privately to cool it.

Good point! Obama’s wife is no better than their so called “Uncle” Rev. Wright! She has said that America is a mean country. She has said that she was not proud of her country her whole adult life!
Obama only disowned Wright for political reasons, and he and his wife still has the same positions as Rev. Wright does! Wright has filled this whole family to the brim with hate and bitternest! We can not allow Obama to become our leader! No way!

Thanks for your comments,

gasdocpol,

we finally agree on something. Praise God!

goodtimepolitics,

It is interesting blogging and interesting conversation,
but the reality is Obama could divorce Michelle and his fans will still think he walks on water.

The big fat 800 pound Guerilla will be the Obama/Hilary ticket…..YICKS!

But wouldn’t it be great to see Hillary debate Condoleezza Rice……..Niiiiiice!

I would love to see Condoleezza Rice as McCain’s Vice President! I would have supported her for president! :)

Condi , the smoking gun will come in the form of a mushroom shaped cloud, Rice ?

Or “the long aluminum tubes could only be used for concentrating uranium?

Thanks for your comments,

Yes, Condoleezza would make a great anything!

gaasdocpal,
Just when I was following your logic in your first comment you had to go and send in your second comment. I’ll just let it speak for itself.

On the other hand it will be great fun when Obama makes “Friends” with Hugo Chavez and “Ahmedinejad” and then after 20 years denounces their bombing of America by saying, “They are not the men I thought they were, I completely denounce our friendship and I didn’t hear that particular rant at the U.N. by Hugo that was taken out of context. Besides I was at church with my new wife Bernadine Dohrn.

Obama’s outrage over Rev. Wright’s comments is a bit too convenient for me. Wright has been a mentor to Obama for so long, I just do not see their split being anything but a collusion to turn around public sentiment. If Obama gets the White House, look for Wright to be by his side.

Oh, and Obama certainly is not going to throw Michelle under the bus. But like Rigg suggested, he could divorce her or even murder her, and he would still be the messiah to his followers.

Rigg

Obama can find common ground where others find only satlemate.

There were apparently things of value in what Wright was saying and Obama was able to separate the wheat from the shaff and that was what made obama stay in that church.

Obama was able to sort out the facts about the proposed invasion of iraq and come to the right conclusion.

Unfortunately , in order to get elected , people who are less clever than he must vote for him.so he needed to throw out the baby with the washwater.

The President needs to be smarter than the average voter but the average voter needs to vote for him.

Some issues are complicated and the spinmeisters twisting the facts around do not make things any easier for the public to vote wisely.
