Ayers Heads at the Teddy Bear’s Picnic:

Picnic time for teddy bears,
The little teddy bears are having a lovely time today.
Watch them, catch them unawares,
And see them picnic on their holiday.
See them gaily dance about.
They love to play and shout.
And never have any cares.
At six o’clock their mommies and daddies
Will take them home to bed
Because they’re tired little teddy bears.

Ok so maybe this looks alot like my last post titled, “Obama has an Ayers about Him”, well something strange happened on the way to the internet today. So, I thought I would try to revamp the post from memory.

Teddy Bear’s Picnic

Lyrics: Jimmy Kennedy
Music: John W Bratton

Played occasionally by Jerry Garcia as a “tuning” jam between songs with the Grateful Dead. Jerry played it live a couple of times with David Grisman (with lyrics),and recorded it on “Not For Kids Only.” It was also played a few times by Nicky Hopkins with the Jerry Garcia Band in 1975.

Also played by Bob Weir with The Dead as a short instrumental.

If you go down to the woods today
You’re sure of a big surprise
If you go down to the woods today
You better go in disguise
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain because
Today’s the day the teddy bears have their picnic

Every teddy bear whose been good
Is sure of a treat today
There’s lots of marvelous things to eat
And wonderful games to play
Beneath the trees, where nobody sees
They’ll hide and seek as long as they please
‘Cause that’s the way the teddy bears have their picnic

Picnic time for teddy bears
The little teddy bears are having a lovely time today
Watch them, catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday
See them gaily gad about
They love, to play and shout, they never have any cares
At six o’clock their mommies and daddies
Will take them home to bed
Because they’re tired little teddy bears

If you go down in the woods today
You better not go alone
It’s lovely down in the woods today
But safer to stay at home
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there together because
Today’s the day the teddy bears have their picnic
Today’s the day the teddy bears have their picnic

There was a good article about Ayers’ damage as professor of education to the Chicago neighborhoods in which his teaching methods are practiced. I don’t know if it’s true, but the connection the author was making was that Obama seems to support these measures and they hurt education. Hillary Clinton has come out against No Child Left Behind, which is the right position, and I don’t really know Obama’s stance. Any way you look at it, it’s not a good connection. I think one can be permitted all kinds of friends, and I have them on the extreme right (love the guy but he’s a bit nutty) and the extreme left. The problem with Obama’s choices of friends is that the extreme choices seem to be the norm (is this just the media or is it the case?) and their forms of extremism are either anti-US gov’t, like Ayers, peculiar to a segment of one part of the US population (like Rev. Wright), or part of Chicago’s corrupt relationship between business and politics (Rezko). It’s an odd combo.

Why don’t you play some of Obama’s tapes. Not cherrypicked snippets out of context.

When Jay Leno does it, it is recognised that it is comedy and everyone knows it.

If McCain ends up in the White House it will not be very funny.

I want to know when Obama will finally be forced to repudiate his other unacceptable relationship–and I’m not just talking about Rev. Wright, either.

It’s high time someone holds the man’s feet to the fire for these irresponsible and unforgivable associations!

Huntingdonpost,
Thanks for your comments. Obama definitely has some questionable characters in his circle. What they all agree on, including Obama, is that America is the Problem which leaves Obama with his Hope left in the old tired radical ideas that he espouses. And he does espouse radical beliefs in his speeches and when he doesn’t have a speech in front of him.

As far as “No Child Left Behind” we have to remember that Kennedy started that whole thing. I work in the school system and I see one good thing in “NCLB” it got the teachers attention and made them accountable. Of course many creative teachers have found ways to circumvent the rules and go back to their own old comfortable lounge chair.

Gasdocpol,
Thank you as well for your comments. I think you have a great idea; I’ll start added Obama Videos. You might want to read some of my past posts; I quote many of his Speeches in “But What Can We Learn From This Man Obama”, “Obamists Tolerent, I Think Not”, Obama’s Faith is Secular Based, and the ever endearing Obomber and Me” and more.

As for Jay Leno, I stopped watching TV when “Little House On The Prairie” went off the air.

Thanks again for your comments, keep writing.
God Bless
