Her Faith, Style and Strength Shine as a Beacon:
Secretary pf State Condoleezza Rice has been running the show at the State Department for years now. In that time she has demonstrated Biblical meekness to its highest standard. He decisions have been tough even though sometimes unpopular. Her demeanor is always calm yet strong. When attacked she takes the high road. When the world is against her she works hard to resolve the problem. She has been a faithful servant to the Lord and to our country. I don’t have enough words to express my admiration for Ms. Rice.
Her Faith is Strong:
“The Rev. Frank VanderZwan is a witness.”She never shrinks from her faith,” gushes VanderZwan, an associate pastor at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, which sits in the shadow of Stanford University. It is the church where Rice was an active member during her years in California.” (Today’s Christian)
Unlike some recent statements by a certain Pastor Wright, Ms. Rice listened for years to sermons by Rev. Frank VanderZwan. I have visited his church’s website and I have yet to hear a cuss word or a denunciation of America in the sermons. Instead the Preachers speak of the Power of God to change our lives. With titles like,” Unstoppable”, “The Power of Belonging“, and “How to Change Your Mind” you will hear solid historic Christian Faith be espoused. I urge you to listen in and contrast the preaching of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church to the Church of Barack Obama.
While in Washington Condoleezza attended National Presbyterian Church in Washington D.C.:
“These days, when she is in town, Rice worships at National Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C. She admits that being a person who takes her faith seriously elicits some cynicism from her peers in academia and in the Beltway.” (Today’s Christian).
A recent sermon titled, “Who is this?” speaks of who Jesus is and his power and love. Not a word of hate or bigotry can be heard in this sermon. I am not necessarily a fan of some of the Presbyterian doctrines or traditions, but for the most part I believe that Ms. Rice has been listening to reasonable preaches over the years.
Tough on Foriegn Policy:
She always stood up against dictators as with Hugo Chavez,
“Condoleezza Rice, who recently called on Chavez to accept the democratic vote of Venezuelans in a legitimate election to recall him, is, as many have noted, “the most powerful woman in the world.”
Dr. Rice understands collectivist terrorist murderers like Chavez better than do most Americans, and not only because she is a highly regarded expert on the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.” (Free Republic)
Condoleezza on Race:
This also is a large subject and once again Ms. Rice handles it with strength in love with grace. Her history and a great interview can be read in this “The Washington Times” interview. She states the problem in eloquent words without race batting or degrading. I like your choice of the phrase “birth defect”. I believe she is saying that we are all in this together and that we have a responsibility to continue to build this country and keep it God’s gift to the world.
“Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said yesterday that the United States still has trouble dealing with race because of a national “birth defect” that denied black Americans the opportunities given to whites at the country’s very founding. “Black Americans were a founding population,” she said. “Africans and Europeans came here and founded this country together — Europeans by choice and Africans in chains. That’s not a very pretty reality of our founding.”( The Washington Times interview) On the one hand, she said, race in the U.S. “continues to have effects” on public discussions and “the deepest thoughts that people hold.” On the other, “enormous progress” has been made, which allowed her to become the nation’s chief diplomat. (The Washington Times interview)From another article titled, “Why the Left Fears Condoleezza Rice in “Free Republic” you can read some not very Barack like statements such as,
“Most of us awakened to the threat of terrorism only on September 11, 2001. Rice as a 9-year-old African-American girl in Birmingham, Alabama, in September 1963 felt the ground shake from a racist’s dynamite bomb going off in the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church only blocks away from the church where her father, John, was pastor.
Among the four black girls murdered in that hate crime that shocked our nation’s conscience was Rice’s 11-year-old friend and schoolmate Denise McNair. She remembers their funeral and how small their coffins were.
“If you’ve been through homegrown terrorism,” said Dr. Rice, “you recognize there isn’t any cause that can be served by it. … Because what it’s meant to do is end the conversation.”
“Racism is a collectivist idea that denies human dignity by defining individuals as members of mythical collective racial groups. Socialism and Marxism are collectivist ideas that deny human dignity by judging individuals only as members of mythical class groups and by declaring all human beings to be slaves whose lives and labors belong to the collectivist state, as in Castro’s Cuba and increasingly in Chavez’s Venezuela. The indoctrination of this dehumanizing idea, as we shall see, is what Chavez means by Marxist education.” (Free Republic)
These words shout out loud the dynamic difference between conservatives and liberals like Obama and Clinton.
I urge you to read the whole article at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1072686/posts
She adds later in the Times interview these words of reconciliation, “”What I would like understood as a black American is that black Americans loved and had faith in this country even when this country didn’t love and have faith in them — and that’s our legacy,” I will miss Ms. Rice: She has been a classy Christian leader for the Bush White House; she will be missed. Our next president will have a tough act to follow when appointing the next Secretary of State. God Bless You Condoleezza Rice.

Wouldn’t that be awesome.
I think we are really going to miss her over the next few years. It is hard for me to imagine not having her in some capacity in the White House.
She would also make a great Supreme Court Justice.
I am pretty sure that she is tired of the political limelight however.
Thanks for your comment.

I have a friend who works in the west wing of the White House. She was assigned as Condi’s assistant during her confirmation hearings. Condi is a fantastic individual who lives by a set of values based on a strong moral foundation. She does not compromise the moral base of who she is to maneuver in the political arena. She is strong, tough yet compassionate. When you work with her you see those values and can’t help but admire and respect her.
Great post Rigg.

Thank you for your comment.
It is more amazing to me that people follow the left then it is how the leaders of the Left act. We are so easily lemminged.
Bush’s Cabinet was the most diverse Cabinet every. He had more people of different ethnicity than Clinton by far and the left only complained. The Left along with the Media keep people in a fog and fighting against our best interests.
Now, I do not support the concept that we must keep the numbers even by Race. I do not support handing power to someone just to balance the scales.
I do support placing people like Condoleezza Rice in power; that move was and is good for America.
Thank you for visiting my blog, come back and leave a comment whenever you feel the urge.
