Obama Shrugged

Obama’s leadership like Saul:

Obama supporters want to be like Europe or Canada, or some mythical Utopia that once existed and was sunken to the depths of the ocean through a conspiracy between George Bush, Dick Cheney, Hallaburton and Osama bin Laden. Much Like the Obama supporters of today the people of Israel were envious of the perceived strength of the surrounding countries. The events leading to Saul’s rise to power were set up by the people being weak and looking for a leader who would be their strength. The Kingdoms around Israel all had kings and the Israelites wanted to be like their neighbors,

“But the people refused to listen to Samuel. ‘No! they said, ‘We want a king over us. Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles’” (I Samuel 8: 19 & 20, NLT).

It seems like Obamanites want this King thing too. Their distaste for American life is painfully apparent. Michelle Obama let the cat out of the bag with her anti-American lecture. Her, “First time she has been proud of America” comment echoed the left’s discust for the traditional American culture. We must never forget that one of Obama’s heroes is Saul Alinsky an American leftist icon. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s paster, made it even more clear with his anti-American sermons. Obama is having a difficult time separating himself from the people who he is the closest to.

Yes, like Saul, Obama’s rise to power is lifted up on the weakened shoulders of a “Gimme a King, We hate our country and wanna be like ‘All the other nations’” crowd mentality. But where is Obama when the heat gets turned up?

Will the real Obama please stand up?

Once again like Saul, Obama wants to hide who he really is when the crowd begins to actually begins to press in and seek him out.

“Finally Saul of Kish was chosen. But when they looked for him, he was not to be found. So they inquired further of the Lord, ‘Has the man come here yet?’ And the Lord said, ‘Yes, he has hidden himself among the baggage’” (I Samuel 10:21 & 22, NIV).

Obama’s reaction to Michelle’s comments, the Rezko Gifts, Saul Alinsky politics. and Jeremiah Johnson’s venom shows that Obama is a hider not a fighter. His shrugged shoulders are not where Americans need to place their trust. In front of Keith Oberman no less Obama shrugged. On MSNBC Obama shrugged. Even on Fox News he shrugged (”If I would have heard them repeated I would have quit”). In front of the American people Obama shrugged. He is hiding his true self among the baggage of the left wing media and behind the skirt of Oprah.

Stand up Obama:

Does he really think that Americans are going to buy his Awe Shucks shuffle off to Buffalo rhetoric? Well…as a matter of fact the answer is YES! And why not, they have bought everything else. In my book he is a weak leader who is out for power at any cost. He will praise the left and then hide under baggage when the crowd turns, then like those hammer crocodiles at the arcade he will stick his head out for a second. It is possible that his own baggage will eventually crumble in on him and rescue our country from his leadership style. It is equally possible that the people deserve such a leader. Like the Israelites we have been warned. The question is will we follow a leader who shrugs.

“If you fear the Lord and serve and obey him and not rebel against his commands, and if both you and the king who reigns over you follow the Lord your God…good! But if you do not obey the Lord, and if you rebel against his commands, his hand will be against you. As it was against your fathers” (I Samuel 12:14 & 15, KJV). Amen.

Hillary and Bill Clinton have made a significant issue about how the press is treating Hillary unfairly in their hyper-critical reporting on her and their “softball” reporting on Barack Obama. Hillary maintains she has been fully investigated by the media and Barack hasn’t!

As the Tony Rezko trial begins in Chicago, Clinton and her surrogates are linking Obama to Rezko and the media is speculating about whether Obama will be called to testify as a witness in the case. Obama has always admitted he received $85,000 in contributions from Rezko which Obama has now donated to charity rather than keep.

Yet the civil fraud trial of Bill Clinton for defrauding Hillary’s largest donor in 2000 into giving her campaign more than $1.2 million, pending in Los Angeles courts since 2003, is now preparing for a November, 2008 trial. The discovery that is now proceeding after a February 21 hearing, and the pending trial, have NEVER been announced by the mainstream media.

You expect that the “world” would follow after him, but it’s the so-called “christians” falling for his buffalo chips that puzzle me….

Thank you for your comments. It is a wonder how anyone who fears the Lord can support such radical speech from Obama and his mentors.

Pedro, your post was so long that I had to edit it. I did copy it to my Bill and Hill page for all those who want to read the rest of Pedro’s comments.

Write in and comment as much as you like. I think the debate is good for our edification.

God bless.

Pedro calm down,
We all know that Hillary and Bill can’t be trusted. But Obama is the one with the potential right now.
We have to keep him in check.

Also, I like the Saul and Obama comparison. If we look into the Bible we can find all we need to know about humans and their nature.

Muslims Against Sharia call on Senators McCain and Obama to cut all ties with their racist, Islamophobic, and anti-Semitic supporters.

I personally would like to know why Christians like me can’t support Obama, so if anyone’s looking for an idea for a next article I would definitely be interested in that.

Religious Right leader Francis Schaeffer denounced America and even called for the violent overthrow of the US government, and he was invited to lunch with presidents Ford, Reagan and Bush, Sr., But they were already presidents, so nobody cared.

The attack on Rev. Wright reveals the level of misunderstanding that still divides white and black Christians in the United States. Many white people find the traditions of African-American preaching offensive. I don’t.
Typical of the form used by black preachers is Frederick Douglass’ address, “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” first delivered on July 5, 1852. The address, a political sermon, forcefully attacks white culture. “Fellow-citizens,” Douglass proclaims, “above your national, tumultuous joy, I hear the mournful wails of millions! Whose chains, heavy and grievous yesterday, are, today, rendered more intolerable by the jubilee shouts that reach them.” He goes on to calls American conduct “hideous and revolting” and accuses white Christians of trampling upon and disregarding both the constitution and the Bible. He concluded his sermon with the words, “For revolting barbarity and shameless hypocrisy, America reigns without a rival.” It has been true, right?

Thanks for your responses.

Kyle, are you saying that you support Obama and you want to know why others don’t? Let me know and I’ll write a post. By the way what kind of Christian are you?

By the by the way I have not problem with “Christians” supporting Obama per say; that is their issue. I have a problem with people being duped into a frenzy over a politician of any kind. I have a problem with Obama running the country into the ground.

Susan,
I am a whiter than white guy (not that I care about these things but others seem to).
I go to a church that is headed by a very black pastor and I love his preaching. Our choir director is black and some of my best friends are of African decent, and south American, Japanese (My Wife for instance), Cuban, Russian…… My pastor preaches the Bible word by word and verse by verse. He has warned us of the sin in America; he has never damned America. He praises America for being the ‘Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” We celebrate the greatness of America as the shining city on the hill.

But that is a moot point. I agree with you if Obama goes to a church where the pastor Damns America, why doesn’t he defend his friend of twenty years. Why doesn’t Obama stand up for a pastor telling his version of the truth?

Write me back and let me know what you think.
God Bless

At this point I think Obama is the lesser of the evils, I’m not keen on his Iraq policy but his over all foreign policy is great. I need to research McCain a bit more, but I definitely don’t trust Hilary. So in that sense I “support” Obama.

My request was more directed towards peak9’s buffalo chip comment and the general vibe I get from most politically conservative Christians that “real” Christians vote Republican. I’d very much like to hear why that is, and how that applies to Obama in particular.

I’m not a particular denomination of Christian, but I am a traditional conservative (theologically). I firmly believe in the tenets of the Nicene and other creeds.

I (not peak9) made the buffalo chip comment, and what I ment by that is …I don’t care what kind of foreign policy you have, what kind of economic policy you have, if you allow the killing of unborn children, you are supporting murder, and that is un-supportable. As Christians, we believe that all life is a gift of God, all are created in His image and likeness - and in this case, God’s law should be followed over man’s. It really has nothing to do with republican v. democrat, although more republicans do seem to be pro-life, but we should vote for the person, not the party. Support life, defend the weak and pursue justice.

I like the dialog.
Being a Christian has responsibilities.
We need to search the scripture.
Pray and listen to God.
We need not buy into the worldly perceptions of
how life should be.
I think Obama follows what will get him elected.
He changes his “Core Beliefs” to fit the situation.
Otherwise he would not abandon his Pastor of 24 years.

Ah yeah, I’m not sure why I thought it was peak9 who said that.

I definitely agree with you on the abortion thing, but abortion isn’t the only moral issue that I will vote on. I would say that equally important in the ideals of defending the weak and pursuing justice is our response to Islam, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Afghanistan, Darfur, impoverished nations, racial politics, and the impoverished in our own country.

So while I’m prolife, I’m pragmatic enough to realize that the president has little say in that even if he does appoint judges (which may or may not be able to do anything anyway since I think the spirit of the constitution has a pro-choice bias), and for the most part I like Obama’s policy regarding the above issues.

Good point Kyle,

I for one am not an Obama supporter particularly for all of the reasons you are, but it is a good point, that about all a president can do is appoint judges.

That is where we part ways, the judges Obama would support would be activist judges who want to rewrite the constitution in their own image.

This rewriting would defenitely be pro-abortion, pro gay marriage, pro government telling us what to do on a daily basis, pro take your money and let the government dole it out to whatever cause Obama sees fit, pro international opinion on our laws and government.

Obama’s appointments would be anti capitalists, anti free market, anti military, anti American Sovereignty, anti family, anti freedom of the individual anti- Historical Christian Faith.

This is not a fringe issue. Obama’s court would undermine our freedom as Christians to preach what the Bible says. Our pastors would be subjected to hate crime litigation and more.

I could go on but I have to run. I suspect that Timglass or peak9 might have further comments

Thank you for taking the time to
respond,
God Bless

Actually Rigg, I think you about said it all. :)

Where exactly are you getting those ideas from what Obama has said or done? If you have the time to indulge me I’d quite like to read a blog post about that. Anyway, thanks!

Thanks for your remarks Kyle,

I will say that you are persistent.
I am still curious about your curiosity.
If you are really a seeker of the truth or are
you just someone who likes to indulge yourself
with blog banter or perhaps you are an Obama
supporter hoping to trip up one of the Obama
disers in some wild diabolical scheme.

Many of my comments seem self evident to me and I would say most thinking open minded people. For sure conservatives will understand my point.

I am sure that no matter what I or anyone else would say you would remain an Obama supporter.
And that is OK with me. I was an idealistic supporter of the left many years ago so I understand your devotion.

I assure you that when you finally seek the truth and you are disappointed in whichever leader you are following at the time, I and others will be available for honest dialog and sympathy.

Until then I encourage you to keep your comments coming. Perhaps another reader will give you some answers to your questions. Also I encourage you to keep reading this blog as I am sure that all of your questions will eventually be answered.

You might start by reading Saul Alinsky.
or checking out the comments of the 4 (sometimes 5) liberal
Supreme Court Justices we already have.

Thank you again for your comments.

Rigg, I think what Kyle was looking for was specific examples of decisions, legislation, etc. where Obama has evidenced the characteristics you have attributed to him.

Just because he (or I) happens to have liberal leanings doesn’t necessarily mean he isn’t open minded. And, for myself, I hope I would be willing to drop my support for Obama if something was revealed about him that was actually a wrongdoing. (For example, if Obama endorsed Wright or Farrakhan instead of denouncing their remarks.)

I’ll keep my comment to that. I intend to post several things this weekend on the need for us all to give credit to the other side’s arguments, if you’re interested.
